You got rich by building things people wanted to buy. Ambani and Adani got rich because the govt handed them the keys. They're state-sponsored monopolists.
What have they built? What did they innovate? What did they invent?
They made money by selling India's natural resources, coal, oil, telecom, ports & airports. A few months ago the state phone company forgot to bill Jio $240 million. Can you compete with that level of corruption?
Until 2018, no company could own more than 2 airports. PM Modi's cabinet changed the rule overnight & Adani got six. The environment ministry did the same so he could mine the Hasdeo forest & about 170,000 trees were came down.
India isn't open for real competition. You simply can't compete with that level of influence.
