A statement of intent for the City of Birmingham and the West Midlands, testament to a region that is on the rise.
Night games at St Andrews were already moody, intimidating and hostile for the away teams and fans.
This will be on another level.
Neutral fans dislike the stadium because they don't get the relevance of an industrial exterior.
We didn't want a royal blue Etihad or a bigger Everton stadium.
This stadium fits the city, club and fanbase perfectly, which is why the overwhelming majority of our fans love it.
And yet, the worst things about the stadium design are still far better the the best things about the stadium design of Villa Park.
Well I'm fucking blown away.
I wanted unique but beautiful, and we got both.
