Let’s make this REALLY simple:
The SEC sued Virtu.
Virtu hired Paul Atkins as an expert witness to help with its defense.
Then Trump nominated Paul Atkins to RUN THE SEC.
So Virtu had to tell the judge:
“Our expert can’t help us anymore… because he’s becoming Chairman of the agency suing us.”

Does that automatically prove corruption? No.
But should the guy who worked for Virtu now be involved in SEC decisions involving Virtu?
That’s a pretty obvious question to ask.
You don’t need a conspiracy theory.
The paperwork raises the questions all by itself.
