I know this isn’t very supportive of me as a supporter, but I can’t shake the sense that it’s embarrassing to our great history at this standard that this is the team the owners have equipped a manager with. It’s probably in fact an insult to our tradition in this competition.

The thing about being a journalist is you can easily trick yourself about being productive by just tweeting and replying to emails.

There is something nice about going to bed early and waking up early. The problem is that it's often not sustainable.

📍Hossana That's the beauty of the Ethiopian Premier League; late goals, 90 minutes of packed stadiums, and pure momentum. This is only the beginning. #EthPL 📺 OBN

Brilliant piece. If you look at Man United and think Carrick is the biggest problem you might want to look at other sports cause football ain’t for you!
Barney Ronay@barneyronayOct 18
Look away from Carrick. Do not think about Carrick. Do not allow incompetent execs to blind you with Carrick. This is not the problem theguardian.com/football/202…

Carrick delays the search for Manchester United’s next managerial magic bullet | Barney Ronay

Getting rid of Michael Carrick is not going to solve the problems that led to his appointment. Perhaps it’s worth, for once, doing something different
