“everything i eat in a day as a—“
*jumping up and down like tom cruise* shut up! shut up shut up shut up!
i hate i was groomed in autumn because the first time i step on all the fallen pine needles and feel that crisp perfect air and see a cloudless blue sky i am filled with a profoundly existential kind of sadness. and then the breeze blows some leaves around and im fine
i understand the sentiment behind “if you buy beautiful things your mess will be beautiful” but i also just think we need to stop trying to curate our life and just live. those ugly dishes your parents gave you, dirty in your sink, are evidence you ate. that is also just fine
im not joking i’ve started asking myself “would this be a problem if i was hot?” And if the answer is no i stop worrying about it
why im getting bottomless steak and frites this Tuesday despite having just spent over 1K on a car repair
"Michelle was eating at Olive Garden when she answered her son’s call on her apple watch and heard him tell her there was a shooter at school" i could not imagine being a columbine survivor and reading this completely brand new sentence
A woman who survived a school shooting at her California high school in 2001 found herself guiding her fifth-grade son through another terrifying ordeal during Thursday’s shooting at Silver Rail Elementary in Bend, Oregon.
Michelle was eating at Olive Garden when she answered her son’s call on her Apple Watch and heard him tell her there was a shooter at school. She urged him to stay quiet, hung up to call 911 and rushed to the school, texting him that she loved him and that police were coming. Michelle told CNN that the 2001 shooting left her with lasting trauma, including panic attacks and a habit of scanning rooms for exits.

i know there are horrific implications of this but i have simply opted out of pap smears. it won't be part of my life anymore. and yes, there are so many valid arguments against this and my answer to all of them is "no"
this is undoubtedly my biggest fear in teaching and i don’t even understand how this is still happening. every school ive taught at has a rigorous entry process and i live in the south. i got turned around for not having my license on me
to calm my nervous system i have been ingesting a strict diet of ambient music and early-era kanye west
they’re going to drag me into the town square and hang me for this, but something i have learned is that there are people out there addicted to being sick and alone. they wouldn’t know what to do with happiness if they saw it so they retreat and shape their identity around misery
