I have signed this letter to the Telegraph with over 1000 clergy. Our country should be putting more resources into palliative care rather than having the state involved in allowing/encouraging the death of its citizens. NHS money should be used to help people, not kill them.

Can we talk about how very ✨little✨education most new grads get on comfort care/end of life care? This has to change. Let’s make sure we are mentoring our new nurses and educating them on this topic. They will face EOL care. It’s not IF, it’s WHEN. #NurseTwitter #nursing

We put much energy into planning birth & early life, but so little into thinking about our dying, death & good-bye. But the way we end our story is as crucial as what comes before. Not only for ourselves but for those we leave behind. Stop thinking of it as dreary #endoflifecare

On this #DayOfReflection we would like to share a letter we received from the family of patient who sadly passed away due to Covid-19, alongside a picture with some of the faces who are behind the care your loved ones receive when they need us.

We don’t tell people what normal dying looks like. This leads to fear.
Not dramatic but peaceful.

It was, and still is, important to me to be able to talk openly about my Mum and Dad. Please don’t worry about it being upsetting, I am sad because my parents have died but I enjoy talking about them. I find it more upsetting not to talk #IRemember
It's #IRemember week. We know that it is both healthy and normal to discuss the #dead, to remember people we have lost and to support each other. Take the first step in becoming better informed about #dying, death and #grief - join #DyingMatters bit.ly/3dIS6qd
