The next few weeks are going to be crazy. Fable 5.5. GPT 6.1 Astra. Grok 4.8. And China has been quiet for a while. That's about to change. More competition is finally coming for Opus 5.5.

DeepSeek V4.1 Flash just dropped, and it's now the MOST EXPENSIVE small model on the BridgeBench lava lamp test. DeepSeek V4.1 Flash: $0.04, 4m 3s Claude Haiku 5.5: $0.03, 4m 34s GPT 6 Luna: under $0.01, 42.8s Luna built the best lamp of the three. Cheapest, fastest and best. Also, DeepSeek's launch chart compares against Opus 5 and GPT 5.6 Sol. Two generations old. GPT 6 Luna is still the best small model.
🚀 DeepSeek-V4.1-Flash-1017 is here! Stronger benchmark performance, faster task completion, and shorter outputs than the previous version—a Pareto improvement in performance and cost. Now live on our website, app, and API. 🛠️ Optimized for @DeepSeekHarness, Tencent CodeBuddy, WorkBuddy, and more. Upgrade to DeepSeek Harness v0.2.1-rc.1 or later for the best experience with the new model. 1/4

You can build a $10,000/month Roblox game with Opus 5.5. Here's how: 1. Find a trending game on the charts. 2. Spot what it's missing. 3. Have Opus 5.5 build your version. 4. Ship fast and iterate on player data. You don't need to know Luau anymore. You need to know what players want.

The Roblox top charts all follow the same formula: 1. Simple names. Chop A Forest, Throw A Football. 2. One action you get instantly. 3. Bright, clear thumbnails. 4. 90%+ like ratios. Roblox pushes what players love. Simple idea, high retention. That's how you trend.

Fable 5.5 needs to be affordable. Fable 5.1 was incredible, but it died in 30 minutes on a $200 Max plan. I haven't touched it since Opus 5.5 came out. Opus 5.5 is amazing because you can actually use it all day on a subscription. The smartest model in the world doesn't matter if you can't afford to use it.

This week's NerfBench results are live. No nerfs detected. Claude Opus 5.5: 105.8% Claude Sonnet 5.5: 98.9% GPT 6.1 Sol: 98.0% GPT 6 Astra: 97.1% The big story is Opus 5.5. It jumped 10 points in a week, from 95.7% to 105.8%. Last week it was the only model below its launch score. This week it's the only one above it. Opus 5.5 is getting stronger.

I wish Opus 5.5 had more competition. If someone actually challenged it, Anthropic would be forced to drop Fable 5.5 sooner. But right now Opus 5.5 is still king. So there's not much reason for them to release it.

Today we're adding frontend tests to NerfBench. First test: Claude Opus 5.5 on the lava lamp, launch day vs today. Sep 22: 9m 35s, 61,953 tokens. Oct 15: 12m 39s, 78,293 tokens. Opus 5.5 is using 26% more tokens. But the result is way better.

Speed is the biggest edge on Roblox right now, and Opus 5.5 just handed it to everyone. Trends on Roblox move in weeks. By the time a small team ships their version of the hot game, players have already moved on. With Opus 5.5 you can go from idea to a playable build in a weekend. Ship it while the trend is still climbing, then let the player data tell you what to fix. The creators winning this year aren't the best coders. They're the ones who test the most ideas. Ship fast, read the data, double down on what sticks.

Fable 5.5 is going to be a significant leap. Muse Wonder and Gemini 4 Argon looked great on benchmarks. Neither one changed the frontier. Fable 5.5 will.

Opus 5.5 can build a $10,000/month Roblox game. Most people still won't. The code isn't the hard part anymore. Describe a tycoon loop or a pet system and you can have working Luau in an afternoon. The hard part is knowing what to build. Study what's trending, figure out why players keep coming back, and find the version nobody has made yet. Almost every breakout game is a twist on something already working. Same core loop, new theme, smarter monetization. Understanding players is what gets paid.

I just cancelled 1 of my 4 Claude Max subscriptions. Not because I don't like Opus 5.5. It's the best model I've ever used. I cancelled because the usage is so good that I don't need 4 anymore. OpenAI has to keep resetting limits to stop people from leaving. With Anthropic, great usage just comes with the subscription.

Anthropic gives their users way more compute than OpenAI. GPT 6 Astra is practically unusable on a Codex subscription. I burn through my entire weekly limit on the $500 plan in a day. GPT 6.1 Sol gives you a lot more usage. But Opus 5.5 is leagues ahead of it, and Anthropic's subscription still gives you way more. Anthropic gives you a smarter model with more usage. It is not even close right now.

@theo, it's very clear you're jealous of BridgeMind. Some of your questions were fair. I'll be sharing more on the NerfBench methodology soon. But asking me to take NerfBench down and post an apology written by you isn't about better benchmarks. It's about your ego, and not wanting anyone else to exist in this space. More benches are good for everyone. Build yours.

I'm down to put my money where my mouth is. BridgeMind put $10,000 towards benching, I'll do the same. If my benches show I'm wrong, and that there is meaningful model "nerfing" aligned with his viral post, I will donate another $10,000 to a charity of @bridgemindai's choice. If my benches show I'm right, I want Bridgemind to take down "nerf bench" and replace it with a page apologizing, listing all the reasons the bench was flawed (written by me). I'm even down to have a qualified third party come in and audit both of our work. Deal?

Claude Opus 5.5 just took a big drop on NerfBench. Yesterday it was scoring above launch. Today it's at 94.2%. GPT 6 Astra: 98.0% Sonnet 5.5: 100.9% GPT 6.1 Sol: 106.7% 94.2% is still inside normal variance, so we can't call it a nerf yet. But we're watching Opus 5.5 very closely.

Fable 5.5 is going to be the biggest leap we have ever seen. Anthropic's IPO is coming in November. They are going to build maximum momentum before it, and Fable 5.5 is how they do it. OpenAI is not ready.

I JUST CANCELLED ALL OF MY CHATGPT SUBSCRIPTIONS. OpenAI just scammed everybody and BridgeMind is now starting a boycott against OpenAI. They cut the usage in half yesterday and said better efficiency makes up for it. This is a lie. GPT 6.1 Sol is just GPT 6 Sol with RL to look better on benchmarks. If we keep paying, Anthropic and every other lab will follow. Cutting usage is profitable for them. Do not let OpenAI get away with this.

Introducing UsageBench on BridgeBench. If an AI lab ever rug pulls your subscription, you will see it here. Day one is 100%. Then we keep retesting the same plan at the same price, with 5 hour and weekly limits tracked separately. Below 100%, you are getting less. Above 100%, you are getting more. Starting with Claude Max 20x and ChatGPT Pro. OpenAI changes Pro usage tomorrow, and we already have the baseline. Which plan should we track next?
