I’m the guy from the article. The court ruled against the province. Said their actions were unlawful and unreasonable, given the current laws. So the province decided to change the laws instead.

With baseball over I thought I’d listen to a football podcast on my commute. This is 20 minutes into the first episode I tried. Very helpful.

About as good an outcome as I could’ve hoped for without actually winning a league. Disappointing based on where I was a week ago, but congrats to all the league champions! Very tough competition across the board.
The player shares list you haven’t been waiting for. Ryne Stanek gets my “This Year’s Clevinger” award; counting on a bunch of saves, but destined to destroy my ratios and provide no value. Honourable mentions for the award go to Taylor Rogers, Lucas Erceg, and Chase Silseth.

Here’s Anthony Santander beginning his offseason training, before he shows up to camp in 5 months and tells the team his shoulder is still sore.

Anthony Santander won’t be returning to the Blue Jays this season. He’s currently in Florida beginning his off-season training. Santander played in five rehab games with Buffalo, going 4-for-17 with four walks, then spent time with Blue Jays stay-ready group.

Didn’t even know Sammy Sosa was a guitarist
There was a time when Pink Floyd’s David Gilmour was earning so much money that he described the amount as “obscene.” He recalled how he would spend his mornings writing checks to charities, simply trying to find a meaningful way to use his enormous wealth. But one day, he decided to go even further. After selling his London home for £4.5 million, Gilmour donated the entire proceeds to Crisis, a charity helping homeless people. “I don’t need that money, and I just thought it would be the right thing to do,” he modestly explained. Reflecting on life with his characteristic wisdom, Gilmour spoke about the simplicity he had come to value: “You start collecting Ferraris, then you have to buy buildings to put them in, and then you have to employ people to look after the people who look after all your possessions. Life becomes very complicated. And at some point — at least, that’s what happened to me — you find yourself thinking, ‘I don’t need any of this.’ And suddenly, life becomes simpler.”

We joke around a lot, but this is a tough one. Unfortunately the time comes for us all. At least he’s in a better place.
HEARTBREAKING: After consulting with multiple doctors, the Yankees made the painful decision to put Giancarlo Stanton down. He was 36 RIP

“Rust or Bust” update on Palencia’s elbow:
I wonder if Palencia is actually going to be back soon. He just made his first rehab appearance seven weeks after he was shut down from throwing for one week. Two walks, 50% balls. First time since last August he's done either of those things. Could just be rust I guess.

There was no way for this FSWA board member that works for FTN to have ever heard of this obscure book that’s been published 7 years running.
The traditional fantasy football draft guide is broken. A bunch of rankings. A few sleepers. Maybe some bold predictions. None of that teaches you how to draft. So I built something that does. Introducing The Process. ftnfantasy.com/nfl/introduci…

A lot of people have been asking me for my opinion on Paul Skenes, and I feel obligated to say something. He is not a top 20 SP at this point. If you disagree, I have to wonder if you even know what a motor tract is 😉
Paul Skenes's last 4 outings: 5.0 IP, 5 ER 5.0 IP, 4 ER 5.1 IP, 1 ER 4.2 IP, 3 ER Skenes seems to be undergoing the first rough patch of his MLB career.

Tomorrow, after he gets on base in the 5th inning and walks off the field: “They can’t make up their mind if they want me to run the bases or not. They told me not to yesterday, so why do they expect me to now? I can’t just adapt like that and all of a sudden run the bases.”
Rafael Devers didn't want to get pinch-run for in the 9th while trailing by a run

Pete Crow Armstrong is one of the best hitters in baseball when he holds the bat with his abductor pollicis brevis in his right hand…. He’s one of the worst hitters in baseball when he holds the bat with his opponens pollicis…. There is a trickle down effect on the entire musculoskeletal system and it all starts with what hand muscle contracts last at the top of the stance… Abductor pollicis brevis on left vs opponens pollics on right

I believe in fairness, inclusion, and giving talent the opportunity to shine. He would be welcome to referee in Olivia Chow’s backyard. I will be writing to FIFA to let them know he is welcome to referee there.

Imagine you're in 3 OCs, and another person who did 8 OCs happens to randomly be in all 3 of them. And that other person drops a star player in 2 of them - Riley Greene and Konnor Griffin - players who nobody in the other 239 leagues has dropped.

That person had bench catchers in both leagues that he chose to keep; Carlos Narvaez and Gary Sanchez, as well as two healthy active starting catchers. But he chose to drop the star players anyway. Weird.
