Was in the audience of this recording. Gloriously daft and very funny.
My stand-up special NEVERMORE just launched on @nextupcomedy. Most comedians aren't brave enough to make whimsical observations, but I will NOT be silenced.
Loving all the extras on the new Dr Who S25 blu-ray box set - not least all the location footage from Remembrance of the Daleks where there’s tonnes of stuff featuring my Dad and the rest of the BBC VFX crew I’ve never seen before! Here he is adding smoke to the landed Dalek ship
ALT BBC Visual Effects technician Mickey Edwards sprays smoke from a smoke gun in front of a Dalek spacecraft in the Doctor Who story the Remembrance of the Daleks
My Dad told me one night, soon after it was released, the audience in a local youth club he went to loved it so much they played it 19 times in a row.
On this day in 1965, @TheWho released their third single My Generation. MOJO’s Pat Gilbert lifts the lid on the creation of a 60s anthem that f-f-finally gave post war British youth their voice...

1/ WGGB strongly opposes @ITV s recent decision to appoint a Head of Generative AI Innovation, whose role will include using technology to help create ‘shows, films and digital-first content’
I’d genuinely forgotten about Leslie Crowther being Alexei Sayle. Wonderful.

They really were getting on my nerves that day
@Arthur_Strong you're looking very sternly at the 4 mopheads sitting on the grass. Was this when they were your support act in 1960 something?

All eight episodes of Jilly Cooper’s #RIVALS drop on @DisneyPlus at midnight. My darling partner wrote the second and the final one and is also an Exec Producer.
It’s deliciously good. Start now and you’ve just got time to fit it all in before work tomorrow

I urge you all to follow the official account of the United Nations Peace Keepers in Lebanon who are under attack.@UNIFIL_
Appeasement of Netanyahu has led to this
- nothing is sacred or protected anymore
-peacekeepers have become a target
- children are being targeted
- prisoners are being sexually abused
-civilian populations are being starved
And all while we in the UK continue to supply arms into Israel.
This happened on our watch and future generations will be appalled at how the International community allowed this horror to unfold.
We saw it on our screens .
We had first hand real time accounts from those being targeted.
We heard about it from medics who treated the injured and saw the bodies.
We were warned by journalists.
We had a trial taking place at the ICJ
And we had IDF soldiers and Israeli politicians openly making genocidal statements and posting them for the world to see.
And yet we let this happen.
2024 - the year when the international rules based order became a joke 😢
