Coding is like running a marathon.
Sometimes you to run in circles, run 3 steps back, fall, forget how to run, cramps, walk, take a break, no idea how long to the finish line, asking for directions, following others, tired.
But in the end, you will feel so proud of yourself.
FYI, today many managers are given instructions to keep an eye on who goes "away" or offline during the eclipse.
But I will still step outside to see the eclipse. I never experience one. Unfortunately looks cloudy in Toronto.

I interviewed 100Devs founder @LeonNoel. We talk about his journey:

The only time I enjoy seeing what brand's content is during April Fool's Day.
Good marketing, companies having fun, the chance to market a product that could be a real product, but it flops, then it's easy to say it was for April fools.

Google should only ever announce products on April Fool's Day.
People see Software Engineers like DJ's.
To everyone, you are using other people's work, not creating anything original, just pressing some buttons and doing nothing.
Noone understand it.
Let's forget about money and status.
It's beautiful and crazy to think there are Sooo many interesting and unique job titles out there that we never heard about.
World Happiness Report 2024:
1. Finland
2. Denmark
3. Sweden
4. Iceland
They probably outsource all their JavaScript developers.
Imagine in a world where we didn't have to depend on AI, programmers could have the potential to be Mentats just like from Frank Herbert's Dune universe.
Crazy to think there are engineers out there who could code 1 hr straight without needing Google.
Ps. Reading Dune. So good!
Refreshing r/ProgrammingHumor so see a post saying "So happy to push to production for the first time working at Meta."
During the pandemic I gained a lot. Went over 91kg( 200 lbs) and knew that was bad.
I'm 180cm(5'9)
I don't have data before May 2023 because I didn't track anything, which was a mistake.
May 2023 started tracking workout + weight.
Aug 2023 spike: parents visited me after 6 yrs, so gotta enjoy mom's food and ate more outside. didn't workout too.
Sept 2023: parents gone, so back to routine. This time, got a food scale to start tracking calories + first time taking protein powder(all this time, I thought taking protein powder meant i won't be natural. Glad to be more educated and learn about Natty and not, many fake Natty online. Also making sure to be conscious not to develop and body image issues, to be obsessed and take it easy).
I didn't go to the gym, got a Bowflex 550 adjustable dumbbells, bench and pull up bar. Everything I needed.
So far these helped me with the friction of getting ready and going to the gym, which is tough for me especially in the winters. I don't have a car.
I might still want to signup for the gym someday when needed, but glad to see it's possible without a gym.
I don't need to post a before and after pic. I just want to feel confident and make my girlfriend still attracted to me. I'm proud she also started her own fitness journey. We eat amazing food. Still eat desserts, and feel more happy.
Many people like starting a new goal on the first of the month. So since it's Mar 1, I hope you didn't give up on your 2024 new year resolutions especially the health goals.
I hope this post helps even one person.
Unless to get student discounts, why do people still use their student emails after years of graduating? π€
Steve Jobs said "Coding teaches you how to think" but I think that someone misheard him.
he meant to said "Coding teaches you how to rethink if coding is for you."
I was gifted a Quest 3 β€οΈ it's so cool! I feel like a child!
Any recommendations for beginners? Games, experiences and accessories?
