A chemical explosion. A toxic cloud. A quarantined neighborhood. A thousand kinds of madness. Batman: Shadow of the Bat. New villains, new supporting characters, new situations. A new approach to Batman. @javiercaster

I've got some Marvel Epic Collections of Daredevil and Hulk that I'm having to let go for space reasons. If anyone is interested, holler at me. I'm a fair dude and want them to go to a good home. Ill make a list asap, but until then feel free to ask.

Even Taschen is getting into the Compact Comics game. $25 bucks instead of their usual $200. Gorgeous colors on newsprint-like paper.

I cannot say "thanks" enough to all of you who supported, shared and backed THE UNSLEEPING EYE. It's the kind of book that can only work with independent supporters like y'all. So again, thank you. "May the fruit neither wither nor die."

For the past few weeks, we've been featuring a bunch of Deaf Crocodile superstars via our new "on this day" feature, and today it's time to raise a toast to one of the two biggest starts in the DC firmament. That's right, today is the birthday of Deaf Crocodile's intrepid co-founder and film restoration god, Craig Rogers! Craig turns [NoneOfYourDamnBusiness] years old today, so to celebrate, check out Craig's Letterboxd list of the many films he's restored through the years, and pop in an old favorite or a first-time watch tonight. Also, check out this pic of Craig and Bela Tar color-grading all 439 minutes of "Sátántangó" together, and imagine Bela holding his head and saying, "why did I make this movie so long??" (Craig recounts this story on a previous episode of the Deaf Crocodile podcast) Maybe tonight's the night that you finally give Sátántangó a spin? Or just watch your favorite Martin Scorsese film again! I think Craig would be happy with any of these choices. Happy Birthday, Craig! #deafcrocodile #isavefilms #onthisday #fridayfun #filmrestoration

The Unsleeping Eye is near and dear to Kurt and I. You all know it's violent and nasty and strange. But we never skip the tender moments. The moments that make life worth living-- Mercurial worth saving. Back the campaign. Save your neighbors from hell. kickstarter.com/projects/dre…
