At least Bucs L was not to a conference foe so they have that in the plus column, right?

@Diandra_loux I know the season just ended but wondering if you have any thoughts how the Lightning might improve on the faceoff? Need someone other than Paul to win the draw 50% of the time imo

great insight here...Derek Nicholson was a pretty good player himself at FSU as I recall...unrelated topic .. Like the bucs draft a lot, especially the Miami pair. Don't know a thing about the TE but was hoping they grabbed USC's Lake McRee for that need. Exceptional route runner

@Diandra_loux Can you please explain why the Lightning struggles to win face-offs? To me that was every bit as glaring as the ill advised penalties last night and I suspect could haunt it the rest of the series ... Especially when it's on the PK.

@Diandra_loux forgive me if I missed it but is there an update on Hedman for the Montreal series? Thanks for another season of wonderful coverage, btw

Oh to have been a fly on the wall during the seances with the other 2 or 3 former presidents, hearing their thoughts on Iran and such.

I sure hope they add a veteran through free agency rather than giving up a high draft pick or two.

@gregauman any chance the Bucs would look to sign edge rusher Bradley Chubb or AJ Epenesa? Surely can't hope the draft fills the most glaring deficiency?

@Fox35Amy New to Orlando and enjoy your work every a.m. Would greatly appreciate an update on the Lake Eola swans/avian flu story.

No list is perfect and always elicit omissions. I have 2: Sam Darnold, USC, and Chris Weinke, Florida State. I get that Weinke played only 1 season in the 2000s, but that one resulted in a Heisman and a third straight national championship game for FSU.

Imagine if the NHL had not warned the teams...was it my imagination or did the Lightning break a record for the most time spent on the PK in a period (3rd). It seemed like the to line had about 3 shifts

@dannykanell I've been out of the sports reporter game for a while but I can't remember coaches getting fired in mid September before. Anomaly or a sign of a changing landscape?

Is it too early to suggest that Tennessee won the qb trade?

Best guess…does Sanders stay with the Bucs (practice squad) were it not for the punch?

Besides the botched jet sweep and snap on final drive, the telling stat had to do with decision making by the HC. 4th and 3 and Bucs kicked a field goal. Washington went for how many 4th downs?!
