🚨UPDATE🚨
The alleged leader of the ShinyHunters hacking group has been arrested in the Netherlands.
Dutch High-Tech Crime Unit arrested the 24-year-old suspect under Dutch law.
Shortly after the alleged leader's September 15 arrest, the remaining ShinyHunters members escalated their attacks by stealing highly sensitive data from the FBI.
Last week I asked the FBI about the hacking and they stated, “The FBI is aware of claims regarding unauthorized activity affecting FBIjobs.gov and is currently investigating.”
ShinyHunters replied to a request for comment from Hackread and rejected any link between the suspect and the group.
“That individual has no association with us. Frankly, we are laughing,” the group said.
