A beautiful requiem for the miracle that was D'Angelo. The pen, the voice, the face, the talent. The 3 classics. The genius that he could summon by force of will. The impossibility of categorizing him. The void that his death leaves.

RIP D'Angelo 🕊
Initially a conduit between the Soul, R&B, & Hip Hop scenes, he later leaned more into Funk and psychedelic Rock & Soul. His work has redefined music nonstop for the last 30 years 💎
RIP and thank you for the music 🙏

RIP D'Angelo, the greatest singer since Marvin departed. Who took the grit & attitude of hip-hop & alchemized it into angelic voodoo. He condensed the human condition - sex, suffering, addiction, love, oppression - into pure transcendence. A comet emitting blinding light & soul.
RIP and thank you for the music 🙏
Today, Fania Records mourns the loss of the legendary @EddiePalmieri, one of the most innovative and unique artists in music history.
He will be greatly missed.

A pioneer of futuristic funk & golden-era hip hop, Hitman Howie Tee laid the blueprint before the mainstream caught on. From Chubb Rock to Special Ed, his hard drums, smooth samples & streetwise soul became the East Coast sound. A legend behind the boards. 🔊
