TRANSLATION: Companies and local governments are agreeing to build AI assets that are already being traded as IOUs before the public gets a chance to trade. Local governments are being fooled with the promise of jobs in the future in exchange for land and water in the present. The market could possibly crash before this stuff is finished being built, leaving the locals to have to deal with environmental mess without any future jobs to offset the cost of cleaning it up.
Companies want to cash out of the AI bubble and use the nation's environment as exit liquidity.

Investigative reports by Statewatch and EUobserver document that the European Commission continued meetings with Israeli officials through early 2026 on a 2022 draft Europol agreement. The draft would permit exchange of sensitive personal data (biometric, genetic, health, political opinions and similar categories) held by Europol. Negotiations involved limited transparency after legal concerns were raised in 2022. The agreement has not been adopted.
