Homemade bread, quiet original photos, simple tips for beginners, and a little bread history in this calm corner of X.
Happy World Bread Day!
The best sound in the kitchen is a knife going through a loaf you baked yourself.
A RARE OCCURRENCE
Realised we had no bread for Sunday morning eggs, so I quickly made this 50/50 white and wholegrain dough packed with sunflower seeds.
Going into the fridge for an overnight cold ferment.
Bread is older than farming
Even a loaf that looks a bit rustic or doesn't rise perfectly still makes the best toast you’ve ever had
Even better, put eggs on it
I’ve not been posting so much recently, didn’t even photograph my last loaf, time away is sometimes needed.
Who’s baking this weekend?
I need some kitchen inspiration.
First time going free-form.
Boule baked on a pizza stone. Used semolina to prevent sticking.
Looks rough, tastes good!
