What actually makes it high stakes is that a thousand year old civilisation is about to be washed away by a few decades of immigration for some unarticulated reason, everything else is a sideshow
It’s actually just a bunch of far left lunatics (and their south asian allies) passing a motion lifted from Soviet Union propaganda.

I am furious.
Our son was murdered by a man whose violent and vicious history and risks were repeatedly missed.
Now we learn that another mentally ill man with a fixation on us and the Nottingham case travelled to Somerset, including our home town, seeking out victims' families; and the police chose not to tell us.
@nottspolice knew. The @policeconduct knew.
Yet nobody thought Barnaby's family deserved a warning.
Nobody thought Charlie's school deserved safeguarding advice.
Nobody thought we had a right to know.
Is this even legal? Isn’t this within 'Osman warning'.
As @drsanjoykumar points out in the story; the Calocane family were heaped with additional support and resources, including CCTV to make them safe.
We had zero.
How many more shocking failures are we expected to uncover ourselves?
Victims' families should not have to fight for every piece of information while those responsible hide behind processes and excuses.
STILL no accountability for ANYONE in these failed agencies.

What if we treated Aella's Birthday Gangbang not simply as an event to be funded, but as infrastructure to be invested in?
Its communities produce sweat, jism, stains and horrific memories that endure long after the last respondent comes in the fluffer.
What if we treated Notting Hill Carnival not simply as an event to be funded, but as infrastructure to be invested in?
Its communities produce skills, knowledge, networks and innovation that endure long after the last sound system switches off.
That requires a very different conversation about public investment—and about who gets to shape Carnival’s future.
Seeing it that way changes the question from what Carnival costs to how public institutions can better support and govern the ecosystems that produce it. Our @IIPP_UCL project with @AlvaroBarringto links Carnival in London, Rio and Salvador to develop that framework.

Stuff like this also happens in France, Italy and Germany quite frequently. Someone must show the continent how to fix this.

The Jason Arday delusion, by @kathleen_stock
In death as in life, misleading narratives are being built around Jason Arday. There is a sense of people staring doggedly at small sections of the picture, while averting their eyes from the complicated whole. Some of them are presumably sticking with his version of things out of grief or loyalty; but others seem determined to keep him in the symbolic realm for murkier reasons, erasing huge chunks of actual biography in the process.
