Seein my Dad for the first time in 4 years tomorrow night
We have an ok relationship, never been that close and he remarried early on in my life and had more kids
We coincidentally both had work trips in Dallas so worked out that I could see him. I don’t see him much because I don’t get along with his wife (longer story)
Has me thinking about my life as a future Dad. I see a lot of my mutuals on here with kids, beautiful families, and really makes me reflect on what I want and sadly what I missed out on.
Not a point to this post but shoutout the many Dad’s on here hustling. I have thoughts running through my head constantly about one day affording kids, providing, raising them the right way as I approach getting married.
There’s a lot of darkness out there in the world and on social media, it’s easy to get caught up in it. Glad to follow many of you that continue to not give in to the negativity and lift up others 🫡
I’m from San Juan Cap / Dana Point area. Lived right where the fire is starting to come over by the public golf course.

The man. The myth. The legend.
On what would have been his 65th birthday, we remember James Gandolfini, who will always be a defining figure in New Jersey culture.
Those who want respect, give respect. And he’ll always have ours.
Not that I am an AI genius of any sort, but my read after going through the article is extremely bullish long term
Safety should be prioritized for the long term. I’d prefer it be said earlier than later, when something serious could happen that would be a very negative material change for the industry.
Will be watching for price overreactions through October
We Must Pace the Frontier: I’ve written a new essay on why the AI industry should slow down, with a three-part plan for doing so.
Anthropic is unilaterally committing to the first of these steps. We’ll provide third-party evaluators with permanent, employee-level access to our systems, so that they can verify adherence to our safety measures, report on incidents, and assess models’ alignment during training.

TCU fans watching their former QB, RB and head coach all thrive elsewhere in Week 1 while the Frogs are on a bye and already 0-1 with a loss to the most dysfunctional program in the land.

It’s funny how a week of patience can change things.
While this portfolio is definitely concentrated in more volatile positions, it’s important to have conviction in your positions or else panic can easily turn you against yourself.
I did make some buys off dips over the last week, not as much as I wanted to add though. However, you can’t “lose” what you don’t sell.
I fully expect this account to experience more short term volatility, which is good because I have a long-term outlook.
