I pointed the new Claude Managed Agents dynamic workflows at 18k lines of code.
> 21 proven bugs.
> 5 minutes.
> $8.36, on my Claude Max API credits.
A lead agent writes a plan, runs it across many agents in phases, then merges the results.
Try it in Claude Code:

It burns tokens fast. It's worth it.

This was a labor of love from so many people and I'm so excited to see it out for everyone.
Dynamic Workflows are one of the most powerful capabilities you can utilize for uplift on your agentic workloads. Time and time again we've seen that letting Claude stitch together agents, context, and data programmatically leads to better outcomes. It also keeps your "Big Claude" free to talk to the user and orchestrate "lil Claudes", instead of spending time micromanaging individual threads.
This first release is only the beginning for Dynamic Workflows in CMA. We're going to invest a ton in giving developers more control and capabilities when working with workflows, and generally making the harness even more powerful, reliable, and flexible.
Massive shoutout to @karbon0x who was the mastermind behind Workflows for Claude Managed Agents.
Have fun Flowin' ya'll. Let us know what you think!

Claude Managed Agents dynamic workflows are now available in public beta. It's a new type of multiagent orchestration, built for your most ambitious workloads.
A lead agent writes a plan that runs across many agents in phases, combining the results at the end.

If you're on a Max or Team plan you now get free API Credits. Use these credits to build your very first Claude Managed Agent. Here is an example implementation that walks you through building your first agent, a daily brief agent that keeps running autonomously, on a schedule that you set.
Try this out or your own ideas! But definitely use those free credits to give us a whirl!

How to build automations with Claude Managed Agents: claude.dev/blog/building-eff…
Deploy an agent that reads Slack/GitHub on a schedule (with credentials and memory) and posts updates. You can set it up with a Claude Code command and use the new API credits included in Max and Team.

One more thing: we’re halving the price of cache reads on Claude Sonnet 5.5, to $0.10 per million tokens. That makes Sonnet 5.5 around 20% cheaper to run on most long-running work.

we’ve been wanting to do this for a while and i’m so excited we finally did, don’t sleep on it - build on the api with credits as part of your monthly sub!

We’re rolling out monthly Claude Platform API credits for Max and Team plans:
Max 5x: $100
Max 20x: $200
Team: up to $500, pooled
Works on any model, including Haiku 5.5, in your code or third-party harnesses.

5 Fable 5.1 optimizations you can use *NOW*.
1. Set effort to 'low'
2. Run '/claude-api cost-optimize'
3. Run 'claude-api prompt-audit'
4. Change effort mid-conversation w/o cache hit
5. Update Fable 5.1 API config w/ 'claude-api migrate'

In a new blog post, we share how one customer, ABC Legal, deployed Claude Managed Agents.
The fleet of 50+ agents have cut costs by up to 50% for certain legal tasks.
The agents also use a feedback loop to improve continuously over time.

A second strategy: use Fable 5 as an orchestrator.
Fable 5 plans and delegates to workers (Sonnet 5).
Most tokens are billed at the lower worker rate.

A few patterns we frequently use with Fable 5:
Use Fable 5 as an "advisor."
An executor (Sonnet 5) calls Fable 5 for guidance.
Most tokens are billed at the lower executor rate.
I’d heard from some that they felt model progress since December was incremental, things were slowing down. But Anthropic was only publicly offering their second best model. This model card kind of reminds me of that scene in The Princess Bride where Inigo Montoya says “I’m not left handed”.

Claude Fable 5 is our first generally available Mythos-class model.
It ships with new safety classifiers that may flag certain prompts in dual-use domains like cyber and bio.
We've added fallbacks: a refused request retries on Claude Opus 4.8 instead of dead-ending.

We just published internal data on how much of Claude's development is already being done by Claude:
- Over 80% of all code merged into our codebase is now written by Claude
- It's been months since many researchers at Anthropic hand-wrote code
- The typical Anthropic engineer ships 8x as much code as they did in 2024
- On the most open-ended engineering tasks, Claude's success rate jumped from ~26% to 76% in 6 months
- When research sessions went off-track, Claude proposed a better next step than the human took 64% of the time
We're not at recursive self-improvement yet, but it could come sooner than most expect. I highly recommend reading the full blog post.

Our internal data shows Claude is accelerating AI development—a possible path to recursive self-improvement, or AI autonomously building a more capable successor.
It’s happening faster than we thought, and the implications deserve greater attention. anthropic.com/institute/recu…
