As part of the teddy take over today, Year 5 used their stuffed toys to act out the legend of Beowulf!
I don’t know about the children, but Year 5 teachers have been really enjoying the opportunity to take learning outside this week!
In today’s art lesson, we learnt to carefully observe and sketch the shape, texture and tone of plants - linked to our learning about plant reproduction earlier in the week.
Year 5 have been identifying the reproductive parts of flowers this week. We spotted the components of the stamen and carpel on flowers on our school field.
Colmers A have been learning how to play the national anthem on the ukulele to celebrate the king’s coronation!
Colmers A spent the afternoon in the school’s edible garden learning about element of organic farming! We identified different characteristics of soil, measured pH level of pond water, planted seeds and seedling and made friends with a newt!
