"After Femke moved to the 800m, I was like 'oh I like to stand on the same start line as her'."
In an exclusive interview, Emma Zapletalová talks through her admiration for Femke Broeders-Bol 🏃♀️
The New Balance and Slovakian athlete secured the European 400m hurdles gold medal in Birmingham and has reduced her PB to 52.30 (from Doha Diamond League) this season 🇸🇰
Only Broeders-Bol (50.95) is ahead of Zapletalová on the European 400m hurdles all-time list 🌍

@WorldAthletics did publish the qualification system for the 2027 World Championships.
The one for @LA28 shouldn’t be very different…
It raises some concerns by athletes and coaches.
Here some thoughts about it:

QUALIFICATION SYSTEM AND ENTRY STANDARDS ISTANBUL 2023
The entry list shows clearly that many issues impaired drastically the consistency of the system used by EA (in a shared strategy with WA).
I did expose this problem in October already but EA said they were sure about it.
