The Supreme Court is losing respect in the eyes of the people because of its naked partisanship. We need reform - and now is the time.

Another day, another hot inflation report.
Business inflation surged in September to 6.3% (!). The expectation was 5.4%.
Every category of business inflation was hot, even after stripping away energy costs.
It's inevitable that companies will pass some of these costs along to consumers. It's yet another reason this fight against inflation is likely to be longer than anyone wants.
Business (wholesale) inflation: 6.3%
Consumer Inflation: 3.7%

Here's the key problem...inflation has wiped out wage gains for 6 months now.
It's a financial squeeze.
Americans are trying to work more hours to make up for it, but many are still falling behind.
Many people are worse off. As BLS wrote,
In the past year, "real average hourly earnings decreased 0.7%. The change in real average hourly earnings combined with a 0.6% increase in the average workweek resulted in a 0.1% decrease in real average weekly earnings."

Inflation is up again. Not because of a pandemic. Not because of a natural disaster. Because of Trump’s war, tariffs, and corporate tax breaks.
It really is this simple: Republicans took over, and then drove up the cost of living in America.
BREAKING: Inflation climbed to a 4-month high in September as the Iran war continued to drive up gasoline prices ahead of key midterm elections.
Prices rose 3.7% in September compared to a year earlier.

Jim Nantz says Mike Ditka used to pay and tip for everything with $100 bills, and never ask for change
“I noticed early on that all he carried were $100 bills. All he did was peel off hundreds all the time. Buy a beer at the bar on the way out to dinner, ‘Yeah, give me a Budweiser.’ $100. Keep the change.”
“Coat check, comes into a restaurant, comes out, $100. Man on the street, homeless, there was one guy that kind of understood the routine and he was there every week. Mike, every time, $100 bill.”
“I finally got up the nerve to say, ‘Hey coach, why don’t you ever get change? Why just the hundreds?’ He says, ‘Hey, what’s the difference anyway?’”
“He said, ‘You know, the way I look at it, when I die and they drop me down into the ground, I hope there’s a little opening in that coffin and my last $100 bill comes flying out and goes up into the sky and drifts away. That would make me happy.’”
“So I said, ‘This gets a little pricey, doesn’t it?’ ‘It’s not that bad, Jim.’ He said, ‘Here’s the way I rationalize it in my head. We got 20 weeks. I come every single Friday to New York. I come in with 50 $100 bills, $5,000. And at the end of the season, I’m spending $100,000.’”
“He would say, ‘I’ve allocated $100,000 to the football season to go enjoy myself in New York. And that’s the way it is.’ I take $5,000 in cash in hundreds every single week. And that’s what he did.”

Inflation has nearly wiped out all wage gains since January 2025.
That's how big of gamechanger the war in Iran has been on Americans' finances.
Since January 2025:
CPI Inflation has grown +5.4%
Wages (average hourly earnings) +5.5%
This is a very different picture from President Trump's first term when wages were up over 15%, well above about 8% inflation. It helps explain the frustration many households feel right now with the economy.
