Day 1: "add a teacher role." Day 2: a teacher edits who's on the teacher list. Day 3: 😬 Role-based access to cards in Boxel: let teachers read and rename their own classrooms with .teacherIds | any(. == actor()). Never let teachers do more than they should.

But roles can go deep, because they're fine-grained. Grant by card type. Grant by action: read, rename, approve. Grant by card, with a where clause like .ownerId == actor(). No nuclear button. Just enough access.

What does composing in Boxel mean? It can be as simple as putting cards together like Lego. Watch an agent build Reverie, a mood board app, one linked card at a time.

Our one-shot generation is getting better & better. Except these aren't just HTML generations, they are cards & data that are hosted!
Three one-shot generated cards stacked: HALDE product page for a rose-pink wool coat ($480), a dark Crypto Portfolio dashboard showing $105,596 with holdings, and the Riptide Cove water park page with a 226-days-to-opening countdown

3/ Also new: an audio clock. The reel follows the time the sound is actually heard (Web Audio time minus output latency), so words land on the vocal. Plus a camera-path sampler, so every shot's move is seekable too.

4/ What stood out in this take: switching 한국어 → English lands on the same musical moment, the scrub flies through the WebGPU shot seams, and the lyrics sheet follows the song. Click a line and the video jumps there. Live: community.boxel.site/lyric-v…
