This new title better reflects their huge range of skills and responsibilities.

โ ๏ธ The Severe Weather Emergency Protocol (SWEP) has been activated from today, 8 January.
BCP Council & St Mungos' Outreach Teams will be doing extra shifts throughout SWEP, finding anyone who is sleeping rough and encouraging them to take up the offer of emergency accommodation.

We can now announce that for the first time, junior doctors and consultants will be taking joint strike action in England.
Here are the dates for September and October #DoctorsStrike

We wonโt give up until junior doctors are fairly paid.
On 13 July, we will stage a 5 day strike, the longest single walkout by doctors in the NHSโs history.

Some of the coverage of #JuniorDoctorsStrike today seems unfair in claiming @BMA_JuniorDocs are refusing to budge from 35% pay rise demand. The BMA said before the strike that what they wanted was a "credible offer" and 35% was a starting point.
So where is the counter offer?

But let me draw together a few strands of evidence that make me think that 24/7 consultant working is NOT remotely as useful as some like to think.
