The edge is in the inputs. The person who consumes from better sources, gets better thoughts. The person who asks better questions, gets better answers. The person who builds better habits, gets better results. It's not the outcomes. It's the inputs.

STOP EVERYTHING! 10 year old me has been waiting for this for at least three decades.
‘Now we’re back together’ @neighbours
This is why the skills shortage isn’t leading to a wages breakout. And, I suspect, why higher interest rates won’t fix inflation. Anyway, ask for a pay rise whenever you can!
Here is todays reminder that our wage setting system in Australia is truely broken #auspol

This fills my socialist leftie heart with joy. The song it quotes is from the 1980s but it resonates as strongly today.
Woke up this morning to find that the new prime minister of Australia had quoted my lyrics in his first press conference: “Just because you’re going forwards, doesn’t mean I’m going backwards”. Here’s my response to that welcome news.
If by ‘people’ you mean the Liberal Party?
I get the feeling many people do not understand what superannuation is for. Financial illiteracy is a massive problem
Like, we could barely do any worse huh?
Australia has fallen to 70th in the world for women's economic participation. We can do so much better than that.

This is sadly unsurprising and yet still alarming. We need systemic change.
A 🧵 on a piece of @MonashUni research that ought to make us all weep, retch, explode with white rage & demand better. 'Between 2001-2018 middle-aged women have gone from a place of relative mental calm, to reporting the highest level of serious mental distress.'
I’m often surprised how many women I speak to think of childcare coming out of their own income, not their household income. Even otherwise progressive couples see it this way - but the funding system doesn’t. This needs to change.

It really should be more remarked upon that, this week, the prime minister sympathised with people who had literally threatened to murder a state premier. It set a new low.

Wow it’s a long way from the 1.5% inflation that didn’t budge for aaaages. Also note it’s almost twice wage growth. Is this stagflation in the making?

One of my favourite books. ❤️
"Do you think, because I am poor, obscure, plain, and little, I am soulless and heartless? You think wrong!“ #OnThisDay in 1847, Charlotte Brontë’s Jane Eyre was published.
One of the defining aspects of misogyny is claiming it doesn’t exist.
What a completely reasonable point for this NSW voter to make… And what an utterly bizarre response from the new NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet’s office. #auspol #nswpol #qanda
I think we need to respect individual choice here. I refuse to follow the 1 Dec directive as it impinges on my freedom.
Exactly why I work 4 days a week
we need a 3 day weekend: 1 for errands 1 for social activities 1 for staying in bed like we’ve got some Victorian wasting disease
