I’ve known Tony for a long time. He’s not the type of guy to make these statements on a whim. He’s principled and whip-smart. And he’s calling like he sees it. Maine deserves better than Susan Collins.
Thanks Susan, very cool! This actually did nothing.
Asked by @PHirschkorn for an example of a time she voted against her party and it changed the outcome, Susan Collins points to how she organized the opposition to Pete Hegseth. Pressed, she concedes it didn't change outcome (one R changed vote), but she notes it almost did.
As many of us have seen (and said) for years. When Maine’s senior senator breaks party lines, it’s mostly performative. When it matters, she enables the WH and her party.

Can’t get an abortion in your state? Thank Susan Collins.
Video: Susan Collins on her Brett Kavanaugh vote (that led to Roe v. Wade being overturned): "Thank you. It's something that still comes up. He's qualified. And I don't, as I've said, I don't regret that vote." #mesen #mepolitics

The federal government is just throwing armed and untrained rogue agents onto streets across our country. That’s not something that should fly in America.

This morning in Biddeford, Maine, a 26-year-old man said goodbye to his wife and daughter and left for work. Moments later he was dead, shot in the head by ICE agents, the second man ICE has killed in six days.
ICE is killing our neighbors. ICE cannot be reformed. Abolish ICE.
