Exciting News: Our wildlife team reported success from a seasonal leash requirement in Gunbarrel. It helped protect 3 nesting pairs of burrowing owls who were able to collectively produce 13 owlets!! Thanks for doing your part to protect open space and this endangered species.

Chautauqua cows are here to work. Please let cattle do their job of munching grass to protect Boulder neighborhoods from wildfire risk. Stay on designated trails, keep your dogs on leash and use only the designated photography areas for pictures.

There have been reports of aggressive behavior from a coyote in the area of the North Teller trailhead and Teller trail. Please keep your dogs leashed on this trail and give coyotes plenty of space.

Flagstaff Summit Road will be closed at the Realization Point parking lot gate to the top near Sunrise Amphitheater and all the way to Artist Point. We are repairing dangerous cracks in the asphalt. OSMPtrails.org

Improvements to the Foothills North Trail and nearby connections are coming. The existing trail will shift onto a more sustainable path that follows the natural contours of the land, that are less prone to erosion and trail widening. OSMPProjects.org

For the safety and protection of our community, there will be limited access to Flagstaff Road on Saturday, July 4. From 6 to 11 p.m., all traffic will be diverted from Baseline at 6th Street. Only community members who live west of Chautauqua will be allowed beyond the closure.

Thank you for letting us know - we're on it! Heavy rainfall has caused trail damage at Wonderland Lake near Quince Circle and Wonderland Hill Avenue. Maintenance will begin to repair this part of the trail on July 6. The trail remains open but please use caution in this area.
