Denver gave homeless people $1,000 a month, no strings attached. A year later:
*45% secured housing
*Taxpayers saved $590k because of fewer visits to the hospital, jail and shelters
*People used the money on groceries, rent, hygiene, clothes and transportation
*Mental health improved and they could spend more time with their kids and grandkids
Amazing what happens when you give people a chance
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The 45% figure is an average of all trial groups, not just the 1k/mo. The group that received only $50/month saw 43% find housing.

Mr. Netanyahu, antisemitism is a vile and disgusting form of bigotry that has done unspeakable harm to millions.
Do not insult the intelligence of the American people by attempting to distract us from the immoral and illegal war policies of your extremist and racist government.

The NSA is just 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 from taking over the internet, and it's not on the front page of any newspaper--because no one has noticed.

If the bill becomes law, any company or individual that provides ANY service whatsoever may be forced to assist in NSA surveillance, as long as they have access to equipment on which communications are transmitted or stored—such as routers, servers, cell towers, etc. 6/25

If a President is willing to continue to give American money and weapons to a foreign government that has killed an American aid worker, what is there left to say?
There is no red line for this President.
Shameful.

Biden was privately enraged and publicly reprimanded Israel for the deadly strike on aid workers in Gaza. But that's as far as he'll go for now, said two senior officials. politico.com/news/2024/04/03…

I’m Jewish. I detest Hamas. I know what it’s like to have family members murdered because of their beliefs and ethnicity.
Which is why I take social justice and human rights so seriously.
And why I, like millions of others, am committed to a ceasefire in Gaza.
