How lazy can we fucking get. There’s absolutely no value in an agent buying something on Amazon. It’s just something people do to sound cool. I already have a human agent who buys way too much shit on Amazon called my wife.

We need to have a serious conversation about overweight people flying on commercial airlines. I’m flying on @AmericanAir and after paying extra money to upgrade my seat, I got stuck next to a man who is 300+ pounds and stripped mid flight. None of the flight attendants wanted to confront him. He smells like 💩 and weed. He’s literally sitting in my seat and keeps touching me. For context, he’s literally 300+ pounds and I’m 120. Why does American Airlines think it’s acceptable to treat people this way?! I tried reaching out discreetly during the flight, but they have no avenues to do that.

Worth noting that Christa Pike requested two alternative methods of execution, in part over a concern about whether there would be complications given some health issues she has, and was denied each. They insisted on this and then botched it.

My old banking VPs really had a point when they said “there are too many words on that slide” and “ain’t no way I’m reading all that”

High finance is a dying career option for many reasons but another funny way you can tell is by looking at their meme culture. They are still doing starter pack memes. In 2026. There was a wave of finance burners that had a huge Twitter presence from 2018-2022. They are so beyond washed now it’s unbelievable. Even wallstreetoasis used to have gems. Now it’s a dying dinosaur from the old internet.

On a related note, it’s surprising to me how many people I see talking about how they use ai to plan their vacation itineraries. Isn’t the point of traveling learning about new places and finding new experiences? Idk you’ll never catch me blindly following an ai slop itinerary
You need to touch grass if you’re online shopping so much that you feel the need to pay $20/mo to Zuck to have an ai agent do it for you

I would describe Bryson as an insecure creditor as well.

The year is 2035. You work at KLSPQP (Kirkland Latham Skadden Paul Quinn & Proskauer). You billed 300 hours this month and are on track to hit the 3000 year billable target that Blackstone set for your firm this year. After 25 years at the firm you are finally being promoted to senior executive managing partner (non-equity, there are no more equity partners left, there are also 500 SEMPs at the firm). You take 15 minutes to walk down to buy a $105 chipotle slop bowl (Blackstone decided to distribute a mid year bonus so you can afford to splurge a little on double protein and guacamole) to eat in front of your desk. Life’s good.
FT Exclusive: Paul Weiss, Quinn Emanuel and Proskauer have had conversations about taking outside capital without triggering rules that bar ownership by non-lawyers. How could this reshape their industry? ft.trib.al/kVsRdHB
