Accountability for the wealthiest people on Earth is hard to come by. Thank you for believing in the power of independent journalism to accomplish it. (And, yes, more to come.) pablo.show/p/it-happened

Dolly Parton on supporting the LGBTQ+ community (2016): “I do not believe we should criticize and judge other people. If you’re the fine Christian you think you are, why are you judging people? I just think we should be more loving, more caring. We are who we are. If you’re gay, you’re gay. If you’re straight, you’re straight. You should be allowed to be how you are and who you are”

Trump supporter: “I’m totally against vaccines. Absolutely, 100%. Every single one of them. They’re poison” Jason Selvig: “What about Polio vaccine?” TS: “There hasn’t been a case of Polio in how many years, since 1960?” JS: “Since the vaccine…” TS: “Yeah”

I think we can all agree that stepping out toward the baseline in the middle of a WNBA game, getting ejected on purpose, and immediately claiming to be a victim is insanely pathetic

🚨BREAKING: An ICE/Border Patrol agent approached a U.S. citizen at a gas station, in Lake Worth, Florida, demanded his ID, and when the U.S. citizen asked why? … The agent’s said, “Because you’re an immigrant.” Except that is not how the Constitution works. In the video, the U.S. citizen is standing at a gas station when an agent walks up and says, “Let me see your ID.” The man asks a completely reasonable question, “Why?” The agent responds, “Because you’re an immigrant.” And before the man has even been identified, the agents grab his hands and puts him in handcuffs. People standing around immediately start questioning what is happening…asking the agents how they can arrest someone when they haven’t even identified who he is… But the agents ignore them and walk the man to their vehicle. The Fourth Amendment protects people from unreasonable searches and seizures. The Supreme Court has held that roving Border Patrol agents need reasonable suspicion, based on specific circumstances, to stop someone and question them about immigration status. And apparent ethnicity, by itself, is not enough. So, what was the actual legal basis for demanding this man show his ID? Because if the answer is literally… “because you’re an immigrant,” that should piss off every American. You should not have to prove you’re a U.S. citizen before the government decides it has the right to put you in handcuffs. And this is just another reminder that constitutional rights don’t mean anything if federal agents can violate them, over and over again, with no accountability.

Why is everyone trying to change the narrative on covid now? It killed millions of people and would of killed more if these measures weren’t put in place
Stephen A. Smith apologizes to Kyrie Irving for calling him ‘stupid’ when he skipped Nets home games instead of getting COVID-19 vaccine: “In my opinion, particularly hindsight-wise, it didn’t make him stubborn or selfish; it made him brave… Kyrie Irving did nobody wrong. We did him wrong. I did him wrong. And for that, I’m sincerely sorry.” (h/t @awfulannouncing)

Bad game by #EgorDemin #Nets. After 4 awesome games attacking the basket & collapsing the defense to find open guys, he's gone full chucker mode. When defenders close out, he's not pump faking to get fouled or drive, just chucking like Jordan Poole. Still happy w/ first 4 games
