So in the Russian mentality, there is the idea of attacking in order to occupy.
Most of the Russian budget goes toward investments in weapons or the military.
They will reach 1.5 million military personnel.
So if the war ended tomorrow, what would Putin do with 1.5 million soldiers?
He himself would face internal problems if he stopped the war tomorrow morning.
And this gives me the impression, since he continues to accelerate, that he would not want to stop in Ukraine.

The dispute was triggered by the Trump-Putin deal on diesel imports, as well as restrictions on Ukraine’s use of satellite systems.
Some Republicans are demanding that sanctions against Russia be reinstated and restrictions on Kyiv be lifted, The Hillreports.
Congressman Don Bacon said that unless the administration changes course, Republicans will refuse to support Trump’s legislative agenda for the remainder of the congressional session.
Republican congressman threatens sanctions against US agencies over Starshield restrictions in Ukraine
US Representative Brian Fitzpatrick said he would push for an investigation into restrictions on the Starshield satellite system in Ukraine.
He said those responsible could face public congressional hearings and budget cuts for the agencies involved.
Fitzpatrick pledged to discuss military aid for Ukraine and sanctions against Russia with Volodymyr Zelensky.
He also urged the US to provide Kyiv with the weapons it needs, completely phase out Russian oil and tighten sanctions against Moscow.
According to the congressman, these measures would receive broad support in the House of Representatives.

On October 16, 2026, Trump signed an executive order waiving new sanctions on Russia passed by bipartisan majorities in Congress and signed into law just last month.
