Blimey. I am shocked. The Telegraph has got an exclusive on the internal investigation into Reform which finds nobody in Reform did anything at all wrong in any way ever about anything. I’m really looking forward to the GB News debate on this amazing news.
EXCLUSIVE: Reform UK did not break any laws when senior party figures were recorded by undercover journalists discussing a £500,000 gift from a foreign donor, an internal investigation has concluded. A 27-page report, commissioned by Reform, after a Channel 4 investigation into funding also cleared the party of wrongdoing over the funding of three opinion polls. 🔗: telegraph.co.uk/politics/202…

Maybe just read the Standing Orders
🔇 WHAT IS THIS LUNACY? 🔇 Reform Cllr Ryan Coogan stands to speak on a motion - & is ordered to sit down. He refuses to be silenced, because he’s done NOTHING wrong Then the chair, Cllr Stephen Ferguson, confronts him This isn’t democracy. It’s intimidation #RyanCoogan #ReformUK #Democracy #LocalGovernment #Reform

I’m calling on MP for Huntingdon @BenObeseJecty to show us the evidence that Peterborough Councillors, MP’s and CEX know or knew about the outcome of LGR before it is due to be announced. If none can be produced, his claims are based purely on gossip are a lie and it is shameful. SHOW US THE EVIDENCE. I’d like everyone, including the media to now ask him where his evidence is from. This is both insulting to the extreme and manipulative in action.

Growth of what? For whom? At what cost? Paid by whom? What is the real need here, what is the most direct and efficient way for those who have that need to satisfy it? How much is enough? What are the obligations to share? Donella Meadows, Limits to Growth: The 30-Year Update
A pro-growth, centre-right coalition should reject shackling ourselves to an EU that forever follows the precautionary principle. I am a Mayor who wants to put growth & jobs before newts & NIMBYS. But I also want a country free to deregulate and be competitive outside of the EU.

There will be high drama at tonight’s HDC AGM, as a finely balanced hung council tries to elect a Chair and Executive Leader, who can then appoint a Cabinet and form a new administration. There are 52 seats: 💛 Liberal Democrats: 20 💙 Conservatives: 15 🩵 Reform UK: 10 🤍 Independents: 4 💚 Greens: 2 ❤️ Labour: 1 No political group has enough seats to form a majority — 27 or more — so we are looking at some form of minority or coalition control. What we know so far: 💛💙🤍💚❤️All groups have publicly said they will not enter into coalition with 🩵Reform. The 💙Conservatives have stated that they will not form a coalition with the 💛Lib Dems. ❤️Labour have said they will not enter coalition with the 💛Lib Dems Anything else is up for grabs. Tune in for the drama tonight from 7pm on YouTube, or come along in person: youtube.com/user/Huntingdons…

Elliot Tong hands over leadership of the Green group on the county council to Darren Green. Does this perhaps mean that Elliot is taking on a new role at the city council? We'll find out on Thursday at the council's Annual Meeting.
I’m extremely proud of everything I’ve achieved as leader of Cambridgeshire County Council’s Green Group over the last year, from sorting out a Terms of Reference to leading on an ambitious budget amendment. Now, I’m pleased to hand the position over to Darren Green 💚

Replying to @lewis_goodall
@lewis_goodall @campbellclaret @MarinaPurkiss This isn’t tough policy. It’s a clear abuse of public power - essentially collective punishment🧵 1/. Can a government site detention centres based on how an area votes? Short answer: No. Unlawful. Third Reichian and third rate.
If you vote Reform you will not have an illegal migrant deportation facility in your area. We will hold migrants awaiting deportation in constituencies that vote Green instead. You get what you vote for.

If you re-elect me on Thursday, I solemnly pledge that I will not build concentration camps. Anywhere. Ever. Obviously. The fact that this even needs saying tells you how dark Local Politics has become. For a serving St Neots councillor to suggest targeting Green-voting communities with migrant detention centres is morally repugnant, deeply authoritarian, and utterly un-British. And also probably illegal. This Thursday, you have a simple choice: Hope 💚 or Hate 👺

Nothing prepares you for how insane this is: In 1984, astronaut Dale Gardner used a jetpack to fly completely untethered in space and capture a falling satellite with his hands.
