Figured I'd share my Railcore II modified into a Mercury Zero based on a Anycubic Chiron 410x430 bed. And using 1" 8020 extrusions for the frame.
First time ordering from @sendcutsend. Wanted two brakeformed aluminum sheets to lift monitors of the desk. Holes for cord control and mounting feet. Added holes for post if the the cantilever sag is to much
Testing the Vicon Tracking system indoor position tracking on a Hexsoon Drone. A "Hello World" for the new system. Pretty freaking cool.
Another flight test today, testing endurance and the new rear arm airfoil covers. Very pleased with 32mins of flight time in gusting 15mph winds.
When I started designing this custom Railcore II 5 years ago I had no idea it would be the perfect size to print in 1 piece #Gridfinity inserts for Milwaukee #Packout Drawers. Y-axis has 5mm of travel to spare.
Very pleased with the intermeshing of the folding arms for my beyond visual line of sight drone build. Folded it rests on the landing leg brackets and still fits in a Milwaukee Packout box. The top arms are solid lifting locations to remove the drone from the box for usage.
Been trying to get the geometry right for an nice compact folding of the front and rear arms and I think I've finally got it
