When we started responding to Russia’s operation against our data centers, and when our strikes reached Yandex’s data centers, it suddenly became a little easier to breathe on many social media platforms. A lot of people noticed it. There was less hate, less division, and fewer provocations. Because there were fewer bots. And it’s pretty clear where those bots were coming from – if they disappeared when Yandex went offline. This proves, again and again, that Europe is not the source of the problems. Europe is not the one making everything more difficult. Most importantly, we need people in America, every morning, when the day in Europe is already moving toward evening, to really see what is happening. To see the truth. From a speech at the Warsaw Security Forum. (3/3)

People keep saying Trump term II is the most corrupt administration ever, so I built a model to find out if it was true. I took the UN's definition of corruption, turned it into eight criteria and 100 points, and scored the leaders history remembers for looting their countries: Marcos, Suharto, Mobutu, Abacha, Obiang, Putin. Then I put every president since Eisenhower on the same scale, both parties, with every exoneration counted right alongside the convictions. Nixon scored 41 and no other American President scored over a 25. Trump's second term scored a 91, which ties him with Suharto and Mobutu and puts him above Marcos and Abacha. So he is not only the most corrupt president in American history. At this pace he finishes his term level with the most corrupt rulers of the last hundred years. PSA: don't come in my comments arguing about the results if you haven't read the full article, because ignorance is a choice. Full article is up now on my Substack (link in bio) and it's free.

After landing at Sydney Cove it took the British just 38 years to turn their own drinking water into a sewer. How civilised. Pauline Hanson reckons Aboriginal people are the most primitive race on Earth because they never invented the wheel. So let's have a look at some history and see who is really primitive. In 1788, the First Fleet landed at a freshwater creek called the Tank Stream, clean water looked after by the Gadigal for thousands of years. Governors took a range of measures to protect the stream but none of it worked. By 1826, the colony had to abandon its own water supply because it had become an open sewer. Today it runs under the city as a stormwater drain. Tens of thousands of years of care to keep that water clean, and 38 years of "civilisation" to destroy it. At Madjedbebe in Mirarr country, the scientific journal 'Nature' puts people on this continent making ground-edge axes 65,000 years ago. Those axes are the oldest found anywhere on Earth. Somebody standing on this soil invented them. At Budj Bim in Gunditjmara country there are stone channels, dams and weirs built to farm eels, running for at least 6,600 years. Engineers Australia rates it among the greatest engineering works ever built in this country. It is older than the pyramids and it still works. 65,000 years, and the water was still clean, the soil was still there, and the fish still plentiful. First Nations land management was so advanced that when the British colonists arrived, they didn't even know what they were looking at. Now let's look at 238 years of Pauline's "civilisation". 100 native species have been wiped out for good, and Australia holds the worst mammal extinction record on the planet. In Queensland alone, hundreds of thousands of hectares of bush are bulldozed every year to run cattle, which is why Australia is the only wealthy country on the world's list of deforestation hotspots. The rivers are dying, the topsoil is stripped, the reefs are bleached, and the forests are burning. How civilised. Europe got rich through the export of violence and theft, then built a story afterwards to make the violence sound like progress. Pauline is still regurgitating that story because without it, she is just an ignorant and bitter woman who inherited a stolen country, and is still trying to whitewash history. Stand with First Nations people against these colonial lies.

Remember when the Panama Papers came out, revealed that all rich people in the world are part of enormous criminal network to dodge taxes and hoard stolen wealth in offshore accounts, and the journalist who reported was murdered by a car bomb, and no one was held accountable, and literally nothing happened. Remember that there are 3 million files of documented evidence about powerful men and women who raped, cannibalized, trafficked, filmed, terrorized, tortured, hunted, and murdered 13, 14, 15 year children, and no one was held accountable, and literally nothing happened. Remember that the United States literally kidnapped a sitting president of a foreign country and his wife and they’ve just been sitting in jail for the past 6 months, and no one was held accountable, and literally nothing happened. Remember that there are two genocides—one in Gaza and the other in Lebanon—and that there are arrest warrants for war crimes and crimes against humanity, and no one was held accountable, and literally nothing happened. Remember that the US military bombed a school in Iran, killed 168 schoolgirls, and no one was held accountable, and literally nothing happened. Remember that there are hundreds of terrorist settlers terrorizing the West Bank and burning people's homes while families and children are asleep inside, and no one was held accountable, and literally nothing happened. Remember that the US is starving and killing babies in Cuba, blocking 7,000 containers of medicine, food, and power from reaching Cuba, and no one was held accountable, and literally nothing happened. This is what will happen—and continue to happen—if we do not unite to enforce international law.

Pauline Hanson is stating that Labor are inciting "political violence" against her by stating the fact that she is a threat to the nation. This from the woman who has spent 30 years inciting violence against immigrants, Aboriginals, and multiple other groups, by wrongly stating that THEY are threats to the nation. With all due respect, Senator, kindly fuck off.

I’m a life long Labor voter. If Murdoch’s News CORP, along with the owners on NINE, SEVEN, SKY and Reinhardt, were supporting Albanese and Labor the way they are One Nation, I’d be on here screaming for answers as to WHY? None of these billionaire corporations, support politicians cause it’s good for the people or the country. They support a politician the way Murdoch does Trump, Hanson and Farrage, because it’s good for THEIR massive wealth. WHY are they supporting Hanson so hard?

Are we becoming a nation of whingers? As pointed out here below - we live in one of the wealthiest and stable countries in the world - and yet the dissatisfaction abounds.. but is it inherent or is it manufactured? I believe the incessant whining from the self-interested who have something to gain from their pearl clutching - and the influence of right-wing vested interests throughout the media and social media literally push the angertainment, the clickbait, the ragebait and the propaganda to create unease, dissatisfaction, division and the feeling that someone else is taking a piece of your pie. Is it real? I believe the underlying issues of housing and costs of living are real - but the forces pushing a considerable amount of blame onto those who are not responsible - are manufacturing anger and hate and capitalising on it. 👇🏻 From the Frackman Project on Facebook. Give them a follow. “THE GREAT AUSTRALIAN WHINGE What if Australia’s next great pandemic isn’t a virus? It’s fucking whinging. Everywhere you look, someone’s telling us Australia is finished. Millionaires are whinging, billionaires are whinging, certain politicians are whinging. Half the media seems to wake up every morning desperately searching for another reason to tell us the country’s completely fucked. Taxes, housing, energy, wages, regulation, apparently everything’s terrible. Adrian Portelli gets a whopping tax bill and suddenly Australia’s “finished”. Mate, you’re a billionaire getting a tax bill. I reckon you’ll pull through. We live in one of the wealthiest, safest, most stable countries on Earth, and somehow we’ve developed this fucking national pastime of carrying on like we’re living through the collapse of Rome. Is Australia perfect? Of course it fucking isn’t. Housing is too expensive. Cost of living hurts. Governments make stupid decisions. We’ve got plenty of things that need fixing. So let’s fucking fix them. But there’s a massive difference between wanting Australia to be better and spending every waking minute telling Australians their country is completely fucked. Because if you’re wealthy enough to have benefited enormously from this country, its laws, its infrastructure, its workers, its customers and its stability, and your response when you’re asked to contribute back into that system is to declare Australia “finished”, I’ve got some wonderful news. There are planes leaving every day. We’ll even help you find the fucking gate”

The accusation that I am antisemitic is appalling and fundamentally dishonest. Criticizing the actions of the Israeli prime minister, a military technology contract, or the executives who supply it is not the same as criticizing Jewish people. This critical and necessary dialogue is then dishonestly framed as being anti-Israel. To be clear, my views come from my own political convictions and should never be interpreted as hostility toward Jewish people, for whom I have deep love and respect.  Everything I know about acting, activism, and humanism has been profoundly shaped by the Jewish friends, colleagues, and loved ones who have been integral and family throughout every point of my life. This merger has real consequences for real people, and for the entire country. Scrutinizing the Ellisons, including Oracle’s business built on data, surveillance technology and government contracts, and the serious threat to editorial freedom and the loss of a livelihood for thousands of families, is fair and necessary. The $111 billion deal would hand one family control over CNN, HBO and Warner Bros., backed in part by foreign money whose influence on editorial decisions has never been fully explained to the public.  Lawmakers on both sides of the aisle have called for serious national security review, and regulators still haven’t given the public a real answer. Until they do, the merger shouldn’t move forward. Now is the time to dive boldly into all these issues, not step back or concede.

I absolutely love this! ♥️ If you’re having a go at the school kids protesting Pauline Hanson today, take a good hard look at yourself in the mirror and ask yourself why you, a grown adult, feels the need to hurl insults at children for simply disagreeing with your political opinion. @toiletpaperaus1

Hunter Biden: “My dad in 1972 took a vow he would never own a stock or a bond and he kept that vow over 50 years of public life. He retired from the presidency as having probably the lowest net worth of anyone that ever entered the presidency. Meanwhile, he got tagged with this idea of the Biden Crime Family and all of that crap. Donald Trump is selling 100K early access to his Truth Social tweets which is just a front-running for insider trading in the open”

Elon Musk once jokingly offered to end World Hunger, asking how much it would cost as if it would be some incalculable number. When the UN replied saying 6.6 Billion would be enough to immediately end Famine for the year he never responded, and a few months later bought Twitter for 44 Billion. You struggle and suffer because people like him are allowed to exist, not because your neighbor is an immigrant.

Gina Rinehart, who owns Pauline Hanson, wants to hand over multiple Queensland islands to Elon Musk so he can pursue unspecified projects. Australia's ecological wonders should not be handed over to foreign powers. If there is indeed money to be made from these ventures, it should be made by Australians.

Political parties raising money isn't unusual. Labor does it. The Liberals do it. The Greens do it. One Nation does it. The difference isn't that One Nation is asking for donations. The difference is that "Fire the Liar" isn't really a campaign about policy. It's a campaign built around anger. The message isn't "help us solve housing", "help us lower power bills" or "help us improve health care". The message is essentially: "You're angry. So give us money." That's what makes me uncomfortable. Australians are doing it tough right now. Every party has the right to ask for support. But when a campaign is designed primarily to inflame outrage and then immediately convert that outrage into donations, I think it's fair to question what's really being sold. Support a party because you believe in its ideas. Support a party because you think its policies will improve the country. But if a political movement relies on keeping people permanently angry so the donations keep flowing, that's not leadership. That's a business model.

Be careful what you wish for Australia. Pauline Hanson has spoken openly to The Australian saying how IR laws need to be changed. Not for the benefit of workers obviously. Only to benefit her billionaire donors. Won’t read or hear any of this on 2GB, 3AW, Seven or Nine breakfast shows. Hanson has always been anti worker and pro big business. She’s coming for your pay and conditions. Work Choices on steroids.

Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it. Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying. Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence." Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter." Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter. They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created. One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility." Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies. That's the metered intelligence business model. And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.

He's not just defending AI energy use. He is smuggling in a whole anthropology where humans are basically inefficient meat computers that you have to pour food and years into before they become useful. And once you accept that, the next move is obvious. If people are just costly biological training runs, then burning mountains of electricity to build synthetic intelligence starts to feel not only equal, but superior, even if it negatively impacts actual humans. That is the dystopian. It makes human development sound like a bug in the system, and it makes sacrificing human and creational flourishing for more computational power sound logical. To him, the grid gets strained, prices go up, ecosystems get hit, but hey, humans eat too, so what's the difference? The difference is that humans aren't an inefficient line item. They're the point. If your worldview can look at a child growing into an adult and describe it as energy spent to train intelligence, you haven't said something profound. You've revealed a horrifically rotten worldview.
🚨 SAM ALTMAN: “People talk about how much energy it takes to train an AI model … But it also takes a lot of energy to train a human. It takes like 20 years of life and all of the food you eat during that time before you get smart.”

California, this November 4th, the whole country is counting on you. Prop 50 puts our elections back on a level playing field, preserves independent redistricting over the long term, and lets the people decide. So return your ballot today. Vote yes on 50.
