I don’t understand how one party’s refusal to take part means that the entire event is cancelled? If they couldn’t attend, schedule another date. What is so important that none of the three can be at this event?
BREAKING: This event has now been cancelled because all three @Conservative_BC candidates (@BruceBanman, @KorkyNeufeld and Darryl Kropp) withdrew their participation in the event. More to come

The end of NLL+. Hard to understand why the @NLL would do this. I’m a @VanWarriors season ticket holder and just about the most dedicated lacrosse fan there is, but I’m not paying $50/mo to watch live games. Incredible slap in the face to their fans.

I will forward this video to our City of Mission staff to confirm but this appears to be a property outside of Mission’s boundaries. The FVRD is aware that illegal dumping is occurring in this area and has been addressing it along with provincial authorities.
Video taken yesterday September 17, 2026 of two dump trucks illegally dumping demolition waste in a farm property in the back of Mission, BC.

What a great day to open Mission’s covered sports facility, Brent Boutilier Memorial Box! Brent was so dedicated to our community that his nickname was “Mission Brent.” Thanks to Brent’s family, Mission Minor Lacrosse, @VanWarriors, Mission staff & council for an amazing day!

Your style is why I listen. You ask thoughtful questions, let your guests paint the picture, and trust your audience to make meaning of what they hear. You are a great listener. We need more of this in today’s world.
This is how media should work. I interviewed Pierre Poilievre. Some people wanted a more confrontational interview, with more interruption, debate, and pushback. I understand that. But that has never been my approach. My goal is to create a comfortable space for a free-flowing conversation where honesty can emerge. When a guest feels attacked, they often become defensive. That is not unique to politicians. It is human nature. In my view, some interviews become so focused on confrontation that we end up learning very little about how the person actually thinks. That is not the role I am trying to play. My role is to conduct thoughtful, calm, fair, long-form interviews. Then writers, journalists, commentators, and citizens can take those answers and analyze them further. People like @TristinHopper, who just wrote about the interview in the National Post, @dsimieritsch, who made a video referencing it, and many others can break down what was said, challenge it, agree with it, criticize it, or build on it. That is healthy. If you disagree with what Pierre Poilievre said in my interview, write about it. Make a post about it like @jessecmccormick and many others have done. Record a video about it. If you agree with him, do the same. The point is not that one interview should do everything. The point is that good interviews should create more conversation. Personally, I feel I gained a greater insight into how Pierre sees the media landscape, Mark Carney’s leadership, the impact politics has on his family, and what he believes he is up against as Conservative Leader than I have seen in many other interviews. People are free to disagree with my approach. They can say it was a softball t or that I should have done it differently. That's fine and also apart of this process. I am proud of the interview, grateful for the role I get to play, and committed to continuing long-form conversations that help Canadians better understand the people, issues, and choices shaping our country.

Very excited about this project to support our youth. When you can't make a left turn, you make 3 right turns instead, so we are creating The Forge to support Mission's young people. cbc.ca/listen/live-radio/1-4…

It’s Game 7 of the World Series, bases loaded, 2 outs, tie game, in the bottom of the 9th. You can choose any batter in baseball in their prime to get you a hit… WHO DO YOU CHOOSE?

5! is the factorial of 5, meaning 5x4x3x2x1=120. Using PEDMAS the equation is done this way: 220 x .5 (the same as 220/2)= 110. 230 - 110 =120=5! (See, I was paying attention Mr. Loch.)
When the math is mathing, but looks like it isn't

In March, Fraser Health told us there may be disruptions in Apr while a doctor is away. New recruits expected to be in place by summer, so the service adaptation may be extended in April. Communication has been exceptional between City, FHA & Ministry. missioncityrecord.com/2026/0…

This is good news! Hoping that the Province involves municipalities in this process. Some of our communities have learned a great deal about these matters in recent years.
NEW - The BC government is introducing legislation to set codes of conduct for municipal governments, which includes bullying, harassment and disrespectful behaviour. Local investigators to be appointed. Max 90 day suspension w/out pay. Public reporting.

This happened to me too, but it was the last voicemail from my brother lost when Koodo changed my service. Thankfully, a VP at Telus went the extra mile and they were able to send me the recording. I have always thought that my experience was a unique one, but obviously not.

I'm pulling for our @MissionOutlaws in Gm 5 of their conference finals tonight at the Leisure Centre vs those no-good White Rock Whalers. The Outlaws lost their coach, Coach Hak, this season, but they are making him proud! missioncityrecord.com/2026/0…

Hi Mission! 👋 I’ve been getting calls about the seniors displaced by the fire at Carrington. I’ll work with our staff to see if we can get some update info out. To donate to seniors, Mission Association for Seniors Housing or Mission Community Services are good choices.
