When he came on @RestIsPolitics recently I found @JamesCleverly thoughtful and humane. This post is neither. It assumes truth in all that was said about someone who was being hounded by a media obsessed with trying to show he was a DEI hire. Which he wasn’t.
The death of Jason Arday is tragic, and makes me so angry.
Even the most casual observer could see he was a vulnerable fantasist.
A number of people at a number of academic institutions have serious questions to answer. They put him into positions he was clearly not qualified for so they could have a black wunderkind to show off, they pushed him into the spotlight for their own benefit.
His exposure was inevitable, a case of when, not if.
His whole world fell apart.

🎉🎉Giveaway time🎉🎉
I bought this mint condition copy of Nicholson's "The Canadians in Italy". This is a beautiful book that covers Canada's fight from Sicily, Ortona, Liri Valley and on to the Gothic Line.
They are getting rare and harder to find.
One lucky follower is going to get a copy!

These rarely come into the shop, and alas my excitement was short lived as this is quite worn. Plenty of crackles and marks, but still a little love to still give. Best sleeve ever still.

This 1st mono press or Bringing it All Back Home is a three figure record if it weren't for a skip on the second track on side 2. The curse of the vinyl gods. Why don't you give it a home?

This unboxed Decca mono copy of the Stones debut may be lively, and the cover may be torn at the back... but it still explodes out of the speakers. Really I should sell it, but fuck it.

Another copy of Sticky Fingers free to a good home. A couple of scratches and a ripped sleeve, but still packs a punch!

This UK 1st pressing of Stand Up has a significant warp, but actually plays through wonderfully with no skipping - I just can't justify selling it as it is. Perfect for adoption.
