Maureen Dowd’s column exposes how Natalie Harp used her access to knife Susie Wiles—showing Trump the Politico Playbook story about Wiles’s daughter profiting from lobbying for Republika Srpska (a pro-Russian Bosnian Serb territory). But Wiles didn't panic; she let television do her dirty work. When Zacharia was tossed onto Hannity, assuming she was in friendly territory, Hannity ambushed her over her fake attorney claims and 14-minute disaster debut. Within 24 hours, Trump showed Zacharia the door, advising her to "reconsider" her job. Dowd chronicles a single, breathtaking week of White House corruption and incompetence: •Kimberly Guilfoyle getting fired as ambassador to Greece after shaking down a donor to pay her $100,000 AmEx bill. •Ric Grenell and Alina Habba Mildon fighting over $5.6 million in misallocated Kennedy Center funds. •Pete Hegseth getting shut down over his "nitwit plan" to livestream a military firing squad execution on Twitch. •Volodymyr Zelenskyy calling out Trump's "sordid deal" with Vladimir Putin over Russian diesel while White House directives throttle Ukraine's Starshield connectivity. “Instead of running the country and dealing with the world he has set on fire, Trump is focused on settling petty squabbles and a web of corruption in his incompetent—and dangerous—court.” Trump’s bubble is getting smaller, more ingrown, and more fractious, leaving an exhausted public to watch an empire bicker over its own demise. nytimes.com/2026/10/17/opini…

AOC: The reason they’re doing all this about Abdul is because what they actually don’t want people to hear about is Mike Rogers. Mike Rogers, who voted against the ACA, who voted against the 9/11 Victims Compensation Fund, who voted to repeal the ACA many times after voting against its establishment to begin with. And now Mike Rogers is showing up at either the border with Canada or on television, wondering why health care is so expensive. It’s expensive because of you, Mike.

- @TheJusticeDept insists Jeffrey Epstein acted alone. It's increasingly obvious that's not true. Two Democratic members of Congress found sufficient evidence to refer alleged sex trafficking by Epstein associates to the @FBI. To be continued when Congress changes hands. dean.house.gov/2026/10/reps-…

Can someone please explain what is holding this transfer up ?
"Right now, we could produce two or three times more drones...but we simply don’t have enough money for that. Imagine if we could put two or three times more pressure on russia" Use russia's 200bn sitting in the EU to arm Ukraine now. Glaring win-win.

We don’t use Starlink for our responses inside Russia. We use Starlink to intercept jet-powered “shaheds” that attack our civilians and kill families. Starlink wasn’t turned off – its speed was reduced. And when the speed was reduced, we were unable to intercept a certain number of jet-powered “shaheds.” We couldn’t use a tool that helps protect people. That’s very painful and frustrating. We also use Starlink for mid-range strikes against enemy military targets in our temporarily occupied territories. We couldn’t do that when the restrictions were in place. And third, what matters most is people. Our warriors, who spend weeks and months on the front line, receive food and water delivered by drones using Starlink. Has the speed been fully restored to what it was before? No. Is it being restored now? Yes. From a conversation with media representatives in Brussels. (2/3)

Now we can say it definitively. Elon Musk donated $158M to SLF. SLF donated $158M to Texas PAC. SLF is Texas PAC's only donor. Elon Musk is singlehandedly funding Texas PAC, which is boosting Ken Paxton.

No amount of support for Russia can end the war, because Russia is the criminal aggressor. A modicum of support for Ukraine could, however, end the war, by making it impossible for Russia to continue. This should not be a hard choice.
⚡️ "Give us Starlink, open it for us on Russian territory, and we will destroy his ballistic missile launchers," Zelenskyy stressed that stopping Russian ballistic launches would force Vladimir Putin to negotiate, rendering further energy strikes unnecessary.

BREAKING | 🇺🇸🇺🇦‼️ Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick has threatened to cut funding to U.S. federal agencies involved in restricting Ukraine’s military access to Starlink, warning that Congress will respond if American authorities are found responsible. Speaking to The Wall Street Journal, Fitzpatrick said federal agencies implicated in limiting Ukraine’s military communications could face financial consequences. “If we leave Ukraine in the dark, there will be consequences. Mark my words,” he warned, adding that agencies would not receive funding if they failed to fulfill their responsibilities. Fitzpatrick indicated that congressional action would follow if the allegations surrounding Starlink restrictions were substantiated. 🔥 Fitzpatrick’s warning highlights growing tensions within Washington over decisions that could weaken Ukraine’s battlefield capabilities. Reliable satellite communications are essential for Ukrainian military coordination, and restrictions on their availability could create serious operational risks. His intervention also demonstrates that opposition to measures undermining Ukraine is not confined to Democrats, with Republican lawmakers increasingly willing to challenge decisions made under Trump’s administration. I met with Prime Minister of Poland @donaldtusk. Donald is well informed about the situation with Russian strikes and how it is escalating every day. The Russians are using “shaheds” almost constantly. Today alone, 52 people have been injured. Throughout the day, there were Russian strikes on a store, a pharmaceutical plant, and logistics facilities. It is very important that Poland is helping us defend against these attacks. We discussed in great detail all the existing threats and the steps that will help strengthen our defense against Russian strikes. I also thanked Donald for his clear and principled position on sanctions: there must be no steps that help Russia continue this war. I thank Donald and Poland for their assistance to Ukraine.
We are not just neighbors. We are friends who can count on each other in difficult times. And no one will ever change that.
