Are people not allowed to love Jason as a character, love Crystal Lake, and not love any of the movies? Like is that forbidden to you guys? Fucking ridiculous.
FanZcene πŸ“ΌπŸ’Ώ@FZsceneOct 17
Get ready for the "new" Crystal Lake fans who claim to be F13 fans, but to them those movies always sucked and this series is peak. You'll know them well, probably Scream 5&6, New Evil Dead, and David Gordon Green Halloween fans too.

Something about fandoms has become increasingly undeserving of these movies and shows. It’s entitlement. Every project has to fit your idea of the concept or else it’s β€œhorrible” or β€œa disgrace to the source material.” Grow up. Expand your horizons just a little.

The Resident Evil fandom, the Friday the 13th fandom… it’s just overall been a really whiney year from so called β€œfans.” You’re viewing these movies and shows through a very specific lens and it’s hurting how you engage with the art. It’s disgusting to see tbh.

Almost done with Crystal Lake and I can honestly say I’m loving it. I am however extremely surprised at how the Friday the 13th fandom has responded to it. Years of nothing and now we have an incredible show but because it takes a lot of creative swings it’s β€œdisrespectful”?

Jason is one of my favorite horror slashers of all time. I love him. And after almost 20 years of nothing from him, it’s a breath of fresh air to see the lore expanded upon. In an A24 production starring Linda Cardellini no less!

There’s disliking changes made to the franchise and then there’s weird shit like this

I think Betsy Palmer would have hated this new series because it goes against everything she established with the character.
