>Japanese people are upset with Anime being used for politics >This poster is mad Japan is calling it out The fact you got so many likes for you being upset with the Japanese calling you out is proof how infected the Anime Community actually is
But in all seriousness, the reaction from Japanese One Piece fans to people using the Straw Hat Jolly Roger in protests has been genuinely pissing me off. So many of them are more concerned about people bringing One Piece into real-life politics, calling it dangerous rhetoric and worrying that the series could get banned in certain countries, than they are about WHY people are even using it in the first place. And I think this perfectly highlights the disconnect between Japanese fans and international fans. For some of them, One Piece is a manga they love and want to protect from controversy. For a lot of us, its themes of oppression, corruption, government tyranny and the fight for freedom hit a little closer to home. Some of us have lived through these things. Some of us have watched our families and loved ones suffer and die because of corrupt governments and injustice. They can afford to treat these themes as fiction because they don’t necessarily have to relate them to their own reality. But when people who have experienced these things firsthand see the Straw Hat flag as a symbol of resistance and freedom, why is they’re first reaction to police how other fans use it rather than understand why it resonates with them in the first place? And that’s what bothers me. Instead of trying to understand why people from completely different backgrounds see themselves in this story, they’re dismissing it as dangerous political rhetoric that might get one piece banned in these countries

The reason he hates Green Lanterns is because unlike him... they can fight their fears, win, and move on... Bruce is just a hater... especially when it comes to Hal. Which I like because it shows that Bruce is just a man.

Batman and Hercules Voice Actor Robert Costanzo Celebrates 84! 🎙️🦇 Costanzo’s unmistakably gruff delivery made Detective Harvey Bullock one of the most memorable supporting characters in Batman: The Animated Series and the wider DC Animated Universe. He also became closely associated with Philoctetes in Disney’s Hercules projects and Joe Barbaro in Mafia II, while building an extensive live-action career across film and television. Some of his most notable roles include: • Detective Harvey Bullock (Batman: The Animated Series / The New Batman Adventures / Batman: Mask of the Phantasm / Batman: Arkham Origins) • Philoctetes / Phil (Hercules: The Animated Series / Kingdom Hearts) • Joe Barbaro (Mafia II) • Joey Tribbiani Sr. (Friends / Joey) • Harry (Total Recall) • Sergeant Vito Lorenzo (Die Hard 2) • Coach Fanelli (Air Bud: Golden Receiver) • Sal (City Slickers) • Farnatti (Undisputed III: Redemption) • Alfonse Giardella (NYPD Blue) • Derek Pappalardo (Mafia II) • Mr. Orvetti (Todd McFarlane’s Spawn) • Easter Bunny (The Fairly OddParents) • Titus Sweete (The Zeta Project) • Angelo (The Sopranos: Road to Respect) • Johnny DiMartino (With Friends Like These…) • Sidney Tomashefsky (Honeymoon in Vegas) • Detective Kovacs (Man’s Best Friend) • Johnny (Fatso) • Toots Shor (61*) That gravelly New York voice proved equally effective for stubborn Gotham detectives, larger-than-life animated characters, and hard-edged video game personalities, giving Costanzo a recognizable presence even when audiences never saw him on screen. At 84, Robert Costanzo carries a résumé connecting Batman, Hercules, Mafia, Friends, and decades of character acting — with Harvey Bullock remaining one of animation’s great gruff-voiced detectives. 🎂

Not even close, tbh Super Sentai already did this 3 years before, but way better, because they actually brought back at least one single actor from every previous series from this. +

Just cause a character has a disability doesn’t mean they are automatically well written. Toph is a well written character not because she is blind, but because she has a personality, she is one of the most powerful earth benders in the series, and she had depth, flaws, and actual development. Representation doesn’t excuse bad writing.

I highly agree. Pre-MCU Marvel was better. And yes, the All-New All-Different era of 2015 made everything worse
I miss “Marvel Comics” pre mcu….

It's all fun and games to be cosplaying in the streets, but this behavior that we see is what Logan Paul, Johnny Somali and these bad influencers are doing to these people to riot the streets. At the same time, they're just making anime fans look bad which most fans and I had warned about this.

Beyond the galaxy far, far away, she has voiced an impressive lineup of heroes and villains, including Mary Jane Watson, Black Canary, Gamora, Wonder Woman, Black Widow, and Poison Ivy. Some of her most notable voice roles include: • Hera Syndulla (Star Wars Rebels / The Bad Batch / Star Wars: Squadrons) • Irwin (The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy) • Mary Jane Watson (The Spectacular Spider-Man) • Black Canary (Young Justice / Injustice 2) • Gamora (Guardians of the Galaxy / Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite) • Wonder Woman (Harley Quinn / Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths / The Flashpoint Paradox / Superman: Red Son) • Black Widow (The Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes) • Poison Ivy (Batman: The Brave and the Bold) • Rook Kast (Star Wars: The Clone Wars) • Invictus (Final Space) • Olga Gurlukovich (Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty) • Dr. Strangelove (Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker / The Phantom Pain) • Sheeva (Mortal Kombat 11) • Jan Ors (Star Wars Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast) • Sara / Caretaker (Marvel’s Midnight Suns) • Myaxx (Ben 10: Secret of the Omnitrix) • Renee Montoya (Batman: Bad Blood) • Bella Yaga (Earwig and the Witch) • Vetvix (Garfield’s Pet Force) • Drew Saturday (Ben 10: Omniverse) Superheroes, galactic rebels, deadly fighters, and animated oddballs have all benefited from Marshall’s ability to give each character a distinct identity behind the microphone. Happy 57th birthday, Vanessa Marshall! Hera Syndulla may command the Ghost, but she is only one part of a voice career that has traveled through Star Wars, DC, Marvel, Metal Gear, Mortal Kombat, and far beyond. 🎂🎙️🌟

“Look I have no problem shooting soldiers in the head, blowing up convoys with mortar shells but I draw the line at hanging a guy.” It’s a video game, calm down. It’s not real. The point of the scene is to make you uncomfortable. People today would cry if they did the OG No Russian moment in CODMW2
During the MW4 Campaign, there was a scene where you’re given the choice to lynch a man. Personally, I couldn’t bring myself to do it. Even though it’s just a video game, some choices carry a weight that goes beyond the screen. Ultimately, my decision not to go through with it resulted in my character being shot, but I stood by that choice.
