I had a Claude session last night that got stopped after 2 hours because it hit the 5 hour usage w Fable 5.1 I restarted it and accidentally had it continue with Fable 5. It worked for 6 hours straight before I realized it. Same session. Same work. 5.1 blowing through usage that 5 can manage no problem… 5.1 is definitely smarter but it is absolutely NOT efficient

Give me a break… I hit 13% of 5 hour usage w Fable 5.1 in 6 minutes. The only thing it did was restart the session it paused when I hit the limit the first time. @AnthropicAI cc: @bcherny Guys. This happened w the Fable 5 release too. Fix it. Reset limits. Now please.

Are they dropping Fable 5.1 soon? Because Fable 5 feels really dumb the past few days… Is it just me?

AI folks - what model is equal to or better than Sonnet 5 at a lower cost?

Real take on Fable 5… Anthropic will keep it in subs ongoing. It will become the new benchmark. And they will release Opus 5 giving everyone access to a full suite of models that crush the next best alternatives. Yes they can make more just on API. But they need SMB adopters. It’s 40% marketing tactics (fear/supply/demand) and 60% legitimate compute concerns. But they are working on solving compute and the recent “re-release” pf Fable 5 showed them they have enough compute. They are also working on the next version of Fable. It wont launch as fast as the prior models because it will require government approval. But 3 months from now we will all look back at this and realize this was all just a stepping stone in the next evolution of AI. And we’ll be facing the same questions and concerns around the next release. Rinse and repeat. Save this tweet…

7/ Your business should fund your life, not eat it. Grow because you want to, and let the growth pay for the life. That's the only version of success worth the cost.

8/ Believe those seven and act on them, and your whole next year looks different. I promise you that.

1/ In 2008 I closed the biggest deal of my career. I had no idea the actual prize that year was a person, not a contract. It took me 16 years to figure that out.

6/ Here's what I know now that I didn't at 30. Success was never a solo climb. I just hadn't met the person who'd prove it yet. One plus one doesn't equal two with the right person. It equals ten.

7/ The business and the life aren't two projects. They're one. Build them with the right person, on purpose, and the whole thing finally aligns. That's the part nobody told me. That's the part I'd go back and tell the guy in the Times Square office.
