My first call for the day was a paediatric trauma call for a child who had been scalded with boiling water- immediately the teams started to mobilise, burns unit, plastic surgeon, paediatricians, transfer to a tertiary care, blue light ambulance- like a well oiled machine.
Came to music late, came to anaesthesia even later- this has been stuck in my brain for far too long, but it makes perfect sense if you’re in the middle.
