one of the saddest things about loving someone who hasn’t healed is realizing that your love feels like pressure to them. your need for clarity feels like a demand. your vulnerability feels like conflict. your attempts to fix things feel like an attack. and slowly, you start apologizing for having needs, expressing feelings, and asking for the very things they never learned how to give.

Things the world won’t tell you: Casual sex leaves a mark on you. Porn slowly kills your spirit. Drunkenness keeps you distracted from God. The Bible is true. Jesus is real, and He loves you.

Nobody is really ready to hear this, but sometimes, you have to admit that you played a part in your own suffering. You’re hurting because of the choices you made. You ignored the red flags, accepted less than you deserved, stayed when you knew you should have left or kept giving chances to someone who repeatedly showed you they weren’t going to change. And now you’re living with the consequences of those decisions. Of course, not everything is your fault. Other people are responsible for their actions and you don’t deserve to be mistreated just because you made a mistake in trusting someone. But you also have to recognise the moments when you ignored your own judgment, abandoned your boundaries or kept choosing something that was hurting you. At some point, you have to stop blaming everyone else, stop waiting for someone to rescue you and start asking yourself what you can do differently. Taking accountability doesn’t mean hating yourself for the choices you made. It means being honest enough to learn from them instead of repeating the same patterns and expecting a different outcome. You may not be responsible for everything that happened to you, but you are responsible for what you choose to do next. Stop keeping yourself trapped in a situation you have the power to change.

A relationship built around Jesus won’t wear you out. It builds you up. You’ll feel it in your peace, your patience, and the way you walk with God. If a relationship keeps pulling you away from Him, it’s costing you more than it’s giving.

Roughly 500 people who are detained are on a hunger strike to protest the poor living conditions at an ICE facility in Folkston, Georgia. Participants in the strike published a letter citing lack of clean water, dirty facilities, inadequate medical care, and prolonged detention. One person's wife says the GEO-operated facility retaliated against her husband for participating in the hunger strike by placing him in solitary. This is one of the largest coordinated hunger strikes inside an ICE facility in years. The actual participation rate is disputed, but it's hard to know what the real number is for sure because of the lack of transparency going on inside these concentration camps. It's inspiring to witness this collective courage and resistance from people who came from all around the world like Latin America, South Asia, Eastern Europe, Middle East, etc. uniting inside a concentration camp to go on strike. They are far more American than any of the gestapo thugs who trafficked them into these camps.

i love watching people become more of who they already are. the friend who starts dressing differently. the quiet person who discovers their voice. the artist who stops asking permission. there's something sacred about witnessing somebody become less afraid of their own life.

A therapist said that sometimes being a loner is a trauma response. You’re so use to people you love not showing up for you or walking away or you may have grown up in a toxic environment. That the only one you could depend on was YOU! So you naturally feel safe when you’re alone

Marry someone who loves Jesus more than they love you. It sounds backwards, but it’s not. The person who puts God first is the one who will love you the right way.

He’s a WHAT?? 🤯 I interviewed Pastor @PhilipAMitchell in Atlanta. I asked him how he knew God was real and why he believes in God. I also asked him what his biggest fear is and whether or not money is the root of all evil! Lastly, I asked him the best advice he’d give the younger generation.

She was EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT, getting her two children ready for school, when six officers arrived at the door with a warrant. Porcha Woodruff thought it was a joke. They were arresting her for carjacking. She and her fiancé asked them to check whether the suspect on the report was pregnant. They refused. Detroit, the morning of 16 February 2023. She is 32. Here is how they got to her. A woman had returned the victim's phone to a petrol station. Police ran facial recognition on the petrol station video. The software produced Porcha Woodruff. Then — and this is the part that turns a software error into a human one — they put her in a photo line-up using an **eight-year-old picture** from a 2015 arrest. They had her current driver's licence. They used the old photo. The victim picked it. A visibly, enormously pregnant woman was processed for robbery and carjacking. She was held and released that evening on a hundred-thousand-dollar personal bond. By the time she got out she was having contractions from the stress, and a medical centre recorded a low heart rate from dehydration. On 6 March the Wayne County Prosecutor dropped the case. Insufficient evidence. Her lawsuit calls the match what it was: an "unreliable facial recognition match." The police chief said the allegations were "very concerning." Think about the order of events once more, because it matters. The machine was wrong. Then a detective chose an eight-year-old photograph over the licence on file. Then six officers went to a house. Then nobody in that chain looked at a woman eight months pregnant and compared her to a report that did not mention a pregnant suspect. Her story is a reminder of why these injustices must be documented, remembered, and challenged. Get our book which documents over 150 of the crimes against Black people savvypurchase.samcart.com/pr…

Erika Alexander as Maxine Shaw in Living Single 👑✨ Fun Fact: The studio executives almost cut Maxine Shaw from Living Single for being too bold and intimidating, but the character went on to earn her the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series in both 1996 and 1998.

FEAR OR RESPECT? THIS MAN CHOSE RESPECT. Most people would run the other way if they saw a stingray this size. This man got down on his knees, carefully removed a fishing hook from its mouth, and returned it to the ocean. Stingrays can be dangerous when threatened, but they’re not out looking to hurt people. What impressed me wasn’t just his courage. It was his patience and compassion for a creature that couldn’t help itself. Sometimes respecting nature means helping it survive, not fearing it.

David messed up, but he still prayed. Peter denied Jesus, but he still prayed. Guilt will tell you to hide. Grace says come back. Don’t let shame keep you away from the One who already knows everything and still wants you close.
