THE NEXT CHAPTER IS HERE
The word is out!We are going to be merging with @teamsyfly_tue to form Aero Team Eindhoven!Together we will maintain the focus on developing autonomously flying drones for sustainable transport by zero-emission in air delivery. Please follow @aeroteamehv !
Recruitment Event is going to take place at Atlas Building's Ground Floor on Wednesday 9 th of March, during lunch break! Don't forget to visit Bluejay's stand🥳 See you there👋🏻
The ability to 3D print components required for the Bluejay 7.1 drone has been made possible thanks to @lay3rs.nl . We hope to continue integrating 3D printing with advanced mechatronics.
Meet the board!🥳 The last subteam within Blue Jay is the management team, who together, oversee everything that is going on inside and outside the team. Curious in any of the positions, or just a random question about our daily activities? Do not hesitate to send a DM !🙂
We are proud to be part of innovation #inBrabant. It is nice to see the organization here that is also looking for groundbreaking solutions by thinking outside of the box. Brabant is the place to be! @inbrabant_nl
Meet the Interaction Design Team!🥳
The interaction design team within Blue Jay focuses on the interaction between humans and drones and how to facilitate and implement this interaction in a proper, intuitive, and comfortable way.
Meet the software team!🥳
The goal of the software team this year is to implement the autonomous flight on our drone, more specifically to make the drone navigate itself from one position to another in a complex environment.

The new regulations are announced in the Netherlands with the new tightening of the corona measures. We hope everyone stays healthy and safe!😷
We have our general meeting every week to catch up with all the sub-teams about what they had done that week!✅
We as Blue Jay, value multidisciplinary workspace because we believe that working with people from various study programs helps us to look from different perspectives!👀 All our members are from 12 different study programs!🤩
The interaction design team is working on their gesture control project!🗣The goal of the gesture control project is to be able to control the drone with some basic gestures. You can see that the input of the camera is recognized as pointing left, which is correct!
In the software team, we use ROS (Robotic Operating System) to integrate all the software of autonomous flight🚀.Few days ago, a test was successfully done on our drone using a simple code which makes it take off, draw circles and land.
Blue Jay has a history of solving important issues in society. From assisting safety and security in Stadiums to guiding elderly people out of nursing houses in case of an emergency! Are you curious about what's coming next🗣? Follow our journey!

This week we got a visit from our drone-colleagues DroneTeam Twente. Their drone is also at the Dutch Design Week (at Klokgebouw) so we invited them over to the TU/e campus to see our workspace.
Check out their site or visit them at the #ddw to see their drone!
