To push the Hebbal short tunnel project, 2 laws were amended, Bengaluru.
1) Karnataka Tank Conservation & Development Act
2) BMLTA Rule 24 to get the project "pre-approved" status
Wonder why the Govt did not amend the Tree Act to get away with tree cutting without explaining?
amazing opportunity lost in implementing super-fast, reliable & economical suburban train connection to Tumakuru..every govt failed in this..shameful!
Mass public transport is the ONLY viable option for commuters!
Tolled roads average less than 30 KMPH..more lanes doesnt help!
And the sad irony is that Windsor Manor - Hebbal part of the red line metro is elevated & this CAN be double decker route adding additional capacity to the road network at fraction of the tunnel cost!

I took one of the world's first public rides. The cabin is comfortable and spacious, the suspension is soft, and FSD is VERY smooth. It’s an incredible vehicle. The screen is HUGE. The video doesn’t do it justice.
We can ride in the Cybercab anywhere in Tesla’s Austin service area, so the same areas as the Model Y Robotaxi.
The Cybercab lives up to the hype. It will transform travel.

Blue is the car-only Tunnel Road. It IMPACTS Lalbagh.
Both are parallel to each other. The city has to choose one of the alternatives.

Namo Bharat RRTS is rewriting the rules of how Indian megacities move.
First engineered by NCRTC, the system was designed to decongest the National Capital Region. The flagship Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut corridor, 82.15 km fully operational since February 2026, demonstrated the system's transformative potential.
Following this success, the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Housing and Urban Affairs recommended in July 2025 that the RRTS model be expanded to other megacities facing severe congestion.
The logic is simple. Indian cities are choking under migration pressure. When a town like Meerut is under 60 minutes from the capital by rapid rail, people no longer need to migrate into the city core.
The RRTS system pulls commuters off congested highways onto fast, reliable networks, decongesting roads while acting as a catalyst for balanced regional development.
Namo Bharat RRTS is a paradigm shift, from road-dependent, fragmented city growth to integrated, rail-anchored, multi-nodal urban development.
