Our Homeschool Week in Review August 13 - 18 blossomandroot.com/2018/08/o… via @blossomandroot
I never really liked math when I was in school, but my daughters love it! I think having a mama who teaches you with lots of games, playing store, and incorporating it into outdoor play (thank you Wild Math) helps! ow.ly/KamS30l6s2o
This is really fun! We are still deep into our community unit this summer, so I may have to integrate some of these ideas. :) ow.ly/11wj30l6rSd
More end-of-the-summer nature ideas! ow.ly/glmg30l6rOe
We're adding some some super-relaxed ancient history units in the second half of the year. I LOVE some of the ideas in here! ow.ly/W9bp30l6rDG
Some great advice as we head into the curriculum / planning frenzy we call August. For a long time, I wasn't sure Singapore Math was a good fit, but when I slowed it down, used the manual, and added in tons of games in between lessons, it really clicked! ow.ly/6yqb30l6rr6
This would be a fun way to wrap up the summer! I remember my girls being fascinated with turtles when we lived in Hilo for a few months. There was a lagoon nearby that was always full of them! Such beautiful creatures. ow.ly/XqRv30l6rlp
Saving this one to read later. Anyone else homeschooling out of a small apartment or itty-bitty space? ow.ly/YqJ530l6rgr
I honestly think geography is one of the easiest topics to insert into ALL of the homeschool subjects. We love using puzzles and games for it too! (Plus the Scrambled States books are a favorite bedtime selection.) ow.ly/xbhJ30jIqOb
Oh my goodness, I love this post so much! Mary Wilson never fails to inspire with her Brave Writer lifestyle posts! <3 ow.ly/SV6n30jIqte
My husband and I are both minimalist-minded. And, for both of us, the ONLY part we struggle with is books! :/ I don't really like reading to my kids from the kindle. I don't mind it for myself, but prefer real books for them. Anyone else relate? ow.ly/FXvl30jIpie
Spring is here, so our poetry tea picnics will be returning soon! <3 Some inspiration for fellow poetry tea lovers <3 ow.ly/OAlb30jIoFn
This has been on my mind lately. Do you make a homeschool portfolio? Any tips or ideas to add would be great! :) ow.ly/6MRS30jIoqh
Great recommendations! I LOVE the book Simplicity Parenting! ow.ly/yIks30jInOp
I keep meaning to try some of these lessons from You Are an Artist. They look so delightful. ow.ly/i3Sa30jInyV
These water science experiments from Look We're Learning look really fun! (Adding some to our "summer of science!") ow.ly/uhjD30jIndX
A beautiful post on friendship in homeschooling <3 ow.ly/IXPj30jImG1
More mud fun from Homeschool Preschool ow.ly/6gcx30jIml3
"Whether you’re introducing haiku to your kindergartner, reading limericks with your middle schooler, or writing sonnets with your high schooler, you’ll find engaging poetry activities on this list." ow.ly/20Tr30jIlQI
