According to my early polling, about 1/3 of those who voted Option 2 will no longer support UCP.
If those numbers are accurate @UCPCaucus and @ABDanielleSmith just lost 8% of their supporters. (ie 1/3 of 25%)
Note UCP won the last election by 8.6%.
She’s got her work cut out for her.

SHOCKING
Liberals vote NO. They refuse to admit that Canada is in an affordability crisis.
The first step to fixing a problem is admitting there is one. The Liberals won't even do that.

If you ever wondered which side of the fence you sit on, this is a great test!
If a Conservative doesn't like guns, he doesn't buy one.
If a Liberal doesn't like guns, he wants all guns outlawed.
If a Conservative is a vegetarian, he doesn't eat meat.
If a Liberal is a vegetarian, he wants all meat products banned for everyone.
If a Conservative is homosexual, he quietly leads his life.
If a Liberal is homosexual, he demands legislated respect.
If a Conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A Liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.
If a Conservative doesn't like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don't like be shut down.
If a Conservative is a non-believer, he doesn't go to church.
A Liberal non-believer wants any mention of God and religion silenced.
If a Conservative decides he needs health care, he goes about shopping for it, or may choose a job that provides it.
A Liberal demands that the rest of us pay for his.
If a Conservative reads this, he'll forward it so his friends can have a good laugh.
A Liberal will delete it because he's "offended".

The Liberals talk about Buy Canadian, but awarded a nearly $12 million CRA contract to an American-owned company instead of the Commissionaires, Canada’s largest employer of veterans.
The reported price difference? Less than 1%.
Canadian jobs and veterans should count for something.

🔥🚨OH FOR FUCKS SAKE MORE MONEY LAUNDERING!
The Liberals CAN'T even build homes in fucking Canada - the LITERALLY just cancelled ALL of their much hyped targets & projects...
...BUT THEY ARE GIVING $100 MILLION TO BUILD HOMES IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC!!
(I mean come on!! How the fuck are we allowing this to happen. PROVE where the fuck this money is going!!! This is ANOTHER Liberal money laundering scam. It is so fucking obvious!!)
#REPORT: The Carney Liberals have announced that they are contributing $100 MILLION of your tax dollars to the GROW Initiative, which they say will help fund the construction of an "affordable housing project in the Dominican Republic."

So what do the preliminary referendum results tell us?
@ABDanielleSmith may very well win most or all of her nine questions. For tonight, she looks to have strengthened her position considerably.
But what she does with that strength could yet become her undoing.
Pro-Independence MLA Jason Stephan announced today that he will not seek reelection. If Smith believes the next step is to turf sovereigntists to turn the page, she is making a spectacular mistake.
Canada wins tonight. But it has not resolved the grievances that brought Alberta here.
The #AlbertaIndependence movement is a real political force. It is going nowhere.
The CPC worked hard for this result. Dane Lloyd was especially visible. But winning a referendum and retaining the loyalty of the people you campaigned against are two very different things.
The Conservatives should be asking how much of their political capital in Alberta they spent tonight—and they likely are unable to earn it back.
Nearly a quarter of participating voters supported moving toward an Independence referendum. Those people aren’t going to disappear when the counting ends. They also make up a massive amount of rural Alberta.
Nor should the CPC assume they will quietly return to the fold because someone waves the threat of a Liberal government at them.
Loyalty is not a lifetime subscription.
The @albertanowparty has formed and intends to be an Albertan analogue to the Bloc Québécois.
There is another danger for the Conservatives: a campaign built around Canadian unity gives the federal Liberals an opening in Edmonton and Calgary. The CPC is about to discover that it helped strengthen an identity its opponents are better positioned to claim.
Meanwhile, Albertans who put Alberta first have been given no reason to abandon that conviction.
Views have hardened. Nobody should mistake a referendum result for reconciliation.
The grievances remain. The demand for self-government remains. The question at the heart of this movement remains:
Should Alberta exist primarily to serve Albertans, or to serve Canada?
Their answer hasn’t changed. It will never change.
Smith can take tonight’s result as an opportunity to address those grievances—or as permission to dismiss the people raising them.
It appears she has chosen the latter, she risks turning disappointment into a determined effort to replace her.
For the Independence movement, the work ahead is political.
Memberships. Constituency boards. Nominations. Leadership.
We need to organize within the @Alberta_UCP, make the case beyond our existing supporters, and build a movement capable of earning a majority and governing.
Federally, instead of boycotting the vote, support Alberta Now.
A defeat becomes permanent only when you stop doing the work required to win.
Tonight belongs to the count.
Tomorrow belongs to those willing to organize.
Alberta First. Still and Always.

Alberta made its decision and now will have to accept its place as the anchor on a sinking ship.
I don't want to hear anything from Albertans about equalization payments or climate change or immigration or any of the other Liberal policies that are destroying this province ever again.
You want to be Canadian, and now you will be Canadian all the way to the bottom of Mark Carney's globalist abyss.
80% of Alberta is so naively married to a national identity that doesn't exist they sunk the only opportunity they had to break away from a federal project that has consistently ripped them off and ignored them.
Now you are here for good. Pay your taxes to Ottawa, accept the constant stream of immigrants and shut the fuck up.
You have no voice. Your votes don't matter but your dollars do. You'll keep paying to keep Canada solvent like you always have.
And for the other 20% of us, we're now just passengers in this descent to nowhere.
Elbows Up, retards.
This morning, I spoke with Premier @ABDanielleSmith about the results of yesterday’s vote.
Over the past 18 months, our governments have worked together to deliver on what matters most to Albertans. Now, we have an opportunity to build on that progress.
Albertans have chosen Canada, and we’re moving forward together with renewed purpose and high ambition — to build a stronger future for all.

Tuning in to the referendum reaction, almost half a million Albertans voted to have another referendum on leaving Canada. But you know what's crazier, how much vitriol Albertans who voted option 1 have towards their option 2 counterparts. Canadian Liberals love to hate things.
