"Rosenblatt Securities initiated coverage of Soluna (NASDAQ: SLNH) at Buy on Wednesday, setting a $4 price target as the operator pursues an AI/HPC conversion in Texas.
The target implies about 257% upside from the $1.12 share price cited in analyst Chris Brendler’s note. Rosenblatt’s model assumes Soluna develops 118 MW of critical IT load capable of generating more than $200 million in annualized revenue, over three times its 2025 revenue.
Brendler based the rating on Soluna’s 266 MW of conditional ERCOT Base Load-designated capacity, its Metrobloks joint venture and an exclusive letter of intent with an unidentified prospective customer. Rosenblatt expects Soluna to secure its first HPC partner before year-end, although the note identified customer contracting and construction financing as outstanding hurdles.

The "datacenter" in El Reno, OK is a somewhat fly-by-night operation (many such cases) and the narrative of datacenter water use is very misleading.
E.g. They weren't even using water for their site.
For context I'm a former Bitcoin miner in OK and on the board of the Oklahoma Bitcoin Association.
The water leak came from a private water line leading to a fire hydrant that the operator built, likely as a safety measure. Unclear to me what kind of permitting you need to do that and whether they had permitting to do that.
But the 9 shipping container boxes (with the mining machines inside) on the site don't appear to be using water for cooling.
Those are Antbox N5 containers (~745kw each), a Chinese manufactured modular Bitcoin mining structure. They clearly have the water screens (the brown panels on the side) which are designed to flow water through to cool intake air to the box.
However you need a dry cooler or some kind of radiator system on site to expell the heat. You can clearly see rhere is no such system on site, meaning that the site did not use water for cooling the datacenter.
Source: I've set up deals for & walked multiple sites with these exact same boxes. (Opinion, they're kinda shitty boxes btw, go American made)
Those water screens are certainly not connected to anything and are likely just kept attached because the boxes ship with them attached. Smaller miners often scramble to acquire equipment & site plan so you'll see a lot of suboptimal configurations like this.
I bet you that the AthlonBTC website describing the containers as "hydro cooled" are a marketing term to make it seem far more professional to potential hosting clients. Again, many such cases.
For a little extra color to Bitcoin mining site construction, you can see that in between each container there are what look like fence panels. Those are clearly set up to block hot air from flowing from container exhaust (hot) into another's intake.
Just those panels alone plus the disconnected Antbox water screens tell you a lot about how this site came to be -- that it's a very DIY operation and not remotely in the same class of sophisticated site design as these Tier 3+ AI hyperscalers.
So where does that leave us?
The 3 million gallon water leak was from activities UNRELATED to datacenter operation and are actually more in the category of operator negligence.
The news & media understandably cannot figure this out because it requires special industry knowledge and the operator of the site clearly is a prickly person who doesn't want this scrutiny.
But this is NOT a datacenter story. This is a negligent business & fly-by-night operator story more analogous to a shady weed growing operation than it is to anything datacenter related.

"Demand right now is crazy. People are now using exponentially more compute."
@bavaria_kush of @OrnnExchange breaks down how they source compute pricing for their index product, and why its been so volatile 👇
The recent Ornn H100 index drop to $2.63 (-7.72%) is confusing. But mostly because it's a misleading index. Our H100 hourly has been in a $2.70–$3.01 band for 146 straight days. Ornn's last month alone: $1.80 → $3.22 → $2.63.
Why? OCPI is built only from printed transactions. But H100 on-demand has been sold out across our coverage for months. No continuous spot tape exists. What's left is a thin residual of bilateral trades from a narrow contributor set. Small N gets pushed around easily.

We just had @keelinfra_ CEO @CaptainKeel on the show for a very timely interview, addressing many of the questions and concerns investors have regarding their PA portfolio and timelines for tenants at these sites.
My takeaways from the interview:
-Gagnon seemed confident Keel will get leases across the finish line soon but did not give a date/timeline. Gagnon not committing to a firm timeline is prudent given his earlier comments that they would announced 3 deals by EOY, as impatient investors excoriated him for not giving concrete guidance during Q2 earnings given his prior confidence. (I understand the frustration from investors here, but I also think it's absurd to expect him to provide 100% certainty on lease timelines given corporate/SEC compliance on forward guidance).
-Permitting and environmental regulations seem like the final hurdle for getting Panther Creek and Sharon leases finalized. He more or less said this on the call while emphasizing that they are evaluating multiple options at these sites.
-Gagnon framed the final permitting as procedural, saying that zoning (already secured) was the biggest hurdle. Some of this permitting is for storm seward access and utilities (e.g., bathroom plumbing) for employees on site. If this is true, I expect we'll see deals inked sooner than later -- they could still land this year, so all the hemming and hawing could be naught.
-Keel is seeking 15-20 year, triple net leases at these sites. Gagnon seemed confident they could land these terms.
-Keel opted out of the 10 MW expansion for the 18 MW Moses Lake site because 1) the expansion was too small to make the CAPEX worth it and 2) the 10 MW expansion would have been at a separate site in the area (referring back to point 1, no economies of scale as a result).
-Moses Lake will likely land the first lease, and all of the raw materials for the build is secured.
-Initial equipment for Panther Creek and Sharon's first phases forthcoming in early 2027 with a ramp up into 2028 for later phases.
We'll post the full interview on YouTube later today for those interested, but you can also view it at the ~30 minute mark in the livestream below.

$HUT Update on Hut 8's $500M, 50MW AI/HPC data center in Batavia, IL.
In a recent interview with @blockspace, Hut 8 CEO Asher Genoot revealed the site is undergoing a restudy with ComEd (Illinois's largest electric utility), with "ample demand" expected once cleared. The facility will house 20,000 new NVIDIA GPUs for Highrise AI, Hut 8's wholly-owned neocloud platform.
Pair this with two fresh catalysts: NVIDIA as an anchor tenant at Hut 8's 1 GW Beacon Point AI Data Center Campus, and NVIDIA's new financing platform mobilizing $500B in Wall Street capital to help customers purchase NVIDIA chips.
The stars are aligning.
