The Internet, Linux, and the Web succeeded because they were OPEN. Agentic AI deserves the same opportunity.
Without coordinated open development, we risk:
- Innovation constraints that slow breakthroughs
- Integration challenges that limit adoption
- Accessibility barriers for smaller organizations
- Research limitations that slow progress
Why this matters: Agentic AI systems (AI that takes action, uses tools, and works autonomously) are reshaping how we build and work.
As this technology matures, we have an opportunity to shape its future: will it be open and interoperable, or fragmented and a walled garden?
