Had a tough conversation with a constituent about whether the universal pre-K that we’re working to include in the reconciliation package will include snacks.

When they say that the 4th of July is about American freedom, remember this: the freedom they’re referring to is for white people.
This land is stolen land and Black people still aren’t free.

Blows my mind how some of y’all were SO concerned about women’s sports when trans women participating was trending, yet now we speak of the disparity bw the ncaa bb tournaments and the response is “well what about the revenue” 😐 it was never about caring for women’s sports...

Athlete Ally Ambassador and @WNBA @nyliberty player @Layshiac is a powerful voice on racial justice and #LGBTQI+ inclusion in sports. Their advocacy, and their visibility as the WNBA's first openly transgender, non-binary player, are both historic and life-saving. #BHM

I am beyond excited to endorse my sister-in-service, a champion for regular, everyday people, @NinaTurner!

ALT Graphic that reads: I am beyond excited to endorse Senator Nina Turner. She is my sister-in-service, a dear friend, and a champion for regular, everyday people. I’ve said that it would be a dream to work alongside her in Congress, and now is our chance to make that happen. She has committed her entire life to thoughtful public service and advocating for policies that do the most for those who have the least. We are in a history making moment — at the intersection of a pandemic, massive recession, and racial justice reckoning. The crises that we face require bold leaders who will do what is right, not just what is popular. Nina did it as State Senator — and she will do it again in the 117th Congress.

at my caucus site, a billionaire gave the realignment speech for tom steyer and got zero delegates, and an immigrant cab driver who has never engaged in political activity in the US gave the realignment speech for bernie sanders and got the most delegates. that’s our movement.
