I use sticky notes to cover unexplored sections. Super easy to peel off as the players go and restack for later use. They also don’t get blown around if the map gets moved.

You just gave me a million dollar idea for “fog of war tiles”. Just cut up one of those frosted drop ceiling panels into commonly used room and corridor sizes. It’d give you a vague idea what under it, but you wouldn’t be able to see until it’s removed. 🤔
